Anyone use Mansion Productions MAS?

I am considering getting the content management system from Mansion Productions (MAS). Does anyone have any feedback on it?

MAS did everything we needed and more. some things take a little figuring at first, but if you run into trouble, support is very good.

it supported movies in multiple formats and sizes, too, which a lot of cms's don't. we offered 3 size of mpgs and 3 sizes of wmvs plus a full wmv for each video and MAS made adding them very easy

I spoke to Oystein today, and I am leaning towards getting it.

He said it won't optimize photos or watermark them, though. I've been using Photoshop for that, but I am looking for other options. What do you use?

We're using a custom solution on the Condom Cash members areas and, it really was a much more affordable option than some of the larger CMS programs in the industry to date.

The added benefit was that we could have our solution programmed to do exactly what we needed it to, movies, stills, stories, feeds, upsells, updates, its all handled through our custom CMS and im even working on getting click tracking added to it so we can tell which content sets, movies, etc are most popular amongst our member base.

Realistically you could get a custom solution coded for under $2000.

Thanks, Lee, but the problem is I don't have programmer I can trust readily available. I had a friend do some research and he concluded that a packaged software made specifically for adult and de-bugged would be a safer choice.

Can anyone recommend a pre-packaged competitor to MAS? What about Carma from TooMuchMedia.com?

We're doing a profile on Mansion for the next issue of AVN Online. They are very good guys, very reputable and reliable. And their support to their clients is unsurpassed. You would do very well with them. They've been through a lot of crap in the last several years, and they emerged even stronger for it as a result. Plus you gotta love Norwegians who shuck their country's attitude against porn and go into adult.
