Male models needed for Phoenix Forum.

WEGCash is looking to release a new gay site with exclusive content during or immediately after the Phoenix Forum. We are looking to brand this site and are in search of gay male talent who are flirtatious, personable, and willing to attend parties and represent WEGCash for the weekend. If you have any info on where we could find such please email me Gabe@wegcash.com or on ICQ 142295729, although ICQ doesn't seem very reliable these days.

    thank you

What about using Cory from WEGcash. I've partied with him before and I think he is very personable and flirtatious! Oh... but what happens on the bull at SaddleRanch stays at SaddleRanch.

He told me he's actually trying to round up some guys for a prague trip. He said you'd know what he meant.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

    Stupid question Gabe..

Are these models going to need to know about your new site or the program and, will they be able to work out traffic deals or do you just want some gay 'eye candy' for the show?

    Regards,

    Lee

I wouldn't categorize his question as stupid by any means. If we needed them to be educated about our program, we would more than likely pursue reps (which I should mention, is not out of the question). Gabe gave some criteria, mostly revolving around eye candy with personality.

However for the show, I am sure a brief run down of the site will be good enough.

I hope that clears things up.

Let me know if anyone has questions or knows of any good outlets for this.

    Thanks,

    Cory.

Well in that case, IMHO, you'd be wasting your money on hiring models to promote your program in Pheonix.

Going by my past experiences, most models i have spoken to, really are as dumb as rocks when it comes to explaining the benefits of sending traffic to one program over another (there are obviously exceptions to this rule but they are few and far between).

Sounds like you are really just looking for a method of becoming part of the gay webmaster community like so many other companies have done in the past by showing up to a show with some gay guys, thus proving how you are a gay friendly company.

You'd probably be better suited sponsoring one of the gay events directly than wasting your money on hiring talent that the serious webmasters probably isnt even going to speak to about business related stuff.

    Just my opinion of course

    Regards,

    Lee

When I have a touch more time, I will fill you in a bit more on our strategy and see how everyone thinks we measure up.

    Again thanks,

    Cory.

That would be great if you could without giving to much info away i know we have a lot of great marketing minds on the GWW community who would be willing to help you work out a good marketing strategy

    My 2 cents:

We often bring models to shows. Phoenix Forum, at least in the past, has been different from Internext in that it's a networking show, with serious people interested in getting business done.

I think Internext Vegas was an excellent example of what happens when a shitload of sponsors bring models... they get drunk, get loud, take up space, and contribute next to nothing (other than, perhaps, some eye candy).

At Phoenix Forum, we did bring Kelly, because in addition to being a model for us, he also works for us in a variety of ways, everything from editing to promotion. He's capable of speaking intelligently about our programs, so it really does give us another voice to market our products. But if we were to bring a bunch of models, I don't really think it would do much to improve our visiblity at that show, because it's so much more a networking event.

Of course, this year, it may be gigantic... and that may change the dynamics quite a bit... but I'm just relating our experience from the past couple of years.

So... food for thought... I agree with Lee, you might be better off taking the $ you were going to put toward model expenses and sponsoring some parties.

    Thanks for that. Appreciated.
