We often bring models to shows. Phoenix Forum, at least in the past, has been different from Internext in that it's a networking show, with serious people interested in getting business done.
I think Internext Vegas was an excellent example of what happens when a shitload of sponsors bring models... they get drunk, get loud, take up space, and contribute next to nothing (other than, perhaps, some eye candy).
At Phoenix Forum, we did bring Kelly, because in addition to being a model for us, he also works for us in a variety of ways, everything from editing to promotion. He's capable of speaking intelligently about our programs, so it really does give us another voice to market our products. But if we were to bring a bunch of models, I don't really think it would do much to improve our visiblity at that show, because it's so much more a networking event.
Of course, this year, it may be gigantic... and that may change the dynamics quite a bit... but I'm just relating our experience from the past couple of years.
So... food for thought... I agree with Lee, you might be better off taking the $ you were going to put toward model expenses and sponsoring some parties.
