Help, Need input on starting my own blog

Oh people of wisdom I seek your help. I am wanting to start my own blog that will also connect to my website www.gayporncorner.com So the knowledge I am seeking is tools or programs that I can download to my computer and use to upload automatically to the blog. I have a webmaster and he does an awesome job, but he can only upload to my website every several day's. I am looking to upload on a daily basis. I would appreciate any input or help anyone can guide my way. I truly do thank you in advance for any help possible.

Hmm, not sure what you are asking for... a blog can be installed directly to your domain, and you simply use the admin feature of the blog to add your commentary.

Now if you are including pictures or such, then all you need do is again use the admin feature of the blog to upload the pic to fit in your commentary.

Wordpress is pretty simple to install, as long as you have FTP access.

You can also adjust the styles and permissions to suit your needs with most blog software. So not to certain if that answers your question or not.

I use W.bloggar to upload images and make posts. It's free

There's also Ecto, but it costs money and you have to have .Net Framework 1.1 with Service Pack 1, which I can't install and so Ecto won't run for me

But from what I saw it makes thumbnails and such

when I had a blog I used iBlog for mac. It was prefect.. you could customize the pages and it managed to do a lot of cool stuff. And very easy to use.

Sad when you have your own website and don't know the first thing about doing a blog. Like where to start, what program to use, etc. :wacko: But with doing video reviews I have so much I would like to say in my own words :noddy: and want to start a blog connected to my website so people can find out what is going on in the industry.

Well wordpress is a simple program to install, lots of different add ons and it is customizeable to suit your needs... so if you know how to ftp into your site, shouldn't be a problem, if you don't... uh... well you should learn it, not hard actually... if not get your webmaster to do it.

Simply go to the admin panel thru your browser and the features really are rather well documented on how to use the program... so it shouldn't be a problem... think the current version is 2.1

I recommend Moveable Type. They have a free version, a Personal Basic version (with tech support), or the Commercial version for $199. (If you have banners, you ARE a commercial site...) With the Commercial version you can pay a little extra for them to install it for you.

As for unavailability of a permanent webmaster, a blog (of some sort) is your best solution, because it gives you the ability to post your writings instantly and cleanly.

Im also a big fan of WordPress, its the script we use on http://www.hardcorepride.com and it is really simple to use and, more importantly for many, its free even for commercial use.

Wordpress is definitly good.
Not very hard to install at all. And you can go to themes.wordpress.net and pick one then if you know some CSS edit it and voila, you have a blog
