DMOZ - Do You Still Submit To It?

Just wondered how many of you folks still submit sites to Dmoz on a regular basis?

If you do, are you seeing much traffic coming from the ODP itself?

Hi Lee,

I still submit every suitable site I build to Dmoz. I definitely don't get much return traffic directly from Dmoz.

One recently listed site has had 11 hits so far this month from it's category page on dmoz.org.

I usually find the Google Directory brings in much more traffic, especially if you have a high PR, as by default, they sort listed sites based on PR from directory.google.com.

On occasion I'll throw a site their way. But it just takes too long for them to update their directory for me to pay too much attention to. It's a little supplemental, "extra credit" type submission, I suppose, and can sometimes pay off in the longrun if and when you do show up in their directory.

DMOZ has never been much for direct traffic, though. It's how some of the other bigger SEs draw from it now and then that it has any value.

Google just updated their directory offa DMOZ.

I have tried, but it takes too long. I use others usually.
