    World sales?

Why do you guys this that 90% of sales come from the US? Even allot of over overseas come from US military bases, other than the UK, sales world wide are very sporadic at best. I know they have PC’s is it just a monitory issue or what? I personally would love to see 40% of sales form outside the US, even Canada is a wasteland

90% of my sales aren't from the u.s.

but if yours are, potential reasons could be:

-you are getting traffic from places that geo filter, so they're sending you mostly or all u.s.

-the text on your site is very american colloquial

i see a lot of uk, japan, germany, finland to name just a few countries we've seen a lot of members in.

i, too, see less canadians than guys in the countries i listed above.

i read on choker's site after he tested tons of traffic that french canadians are THE number one freeloader group in the world. not only do they spend more time and effort looking for more free content - they also look at more pics on each gallery. this makes them the most expensive surfers and also the ones least likely to buy.

I do ok in the UK its my second best, Germany, Finland are allot smaller and I think I have only had 1 sale in Japan ever. So what % would you say you make in the US? The text in my site might be a bit american, but not anymore than most sites. I would just really like to make more international sales you know.

That’s really interesting, I have always thought the Asian viewers would take that title, from the Asian sites I have made they have been a disaster. Tons of traffic and like 1 in 10,000 conversions.

Well, you know.... start by looking at a map. Canada is simply not a very big market. There's only about 35 million of them. The population of California is like 34 million. That is why the United States makes up such a large part of your sales.... cause we buy everything. I'm not disparaging Canada or anything, I'm just saying you need to keep a perspective.

Now, to challenge your personal experience, my Canadian sales are actually higher then sales to Australians, where there are even fewer people.

I have spent a good bit of time reaching to international markets with my site. I recommend that if you do this look to the UK and Germany as a good step. They are very large economies, and their residents are good target markets. But if you are going to sell to Europeans, brush up on your porn made there in Europe.

I wanted to sell to Brits, so I brushed up on my Max Lincoln/Eurocreme. Etc. In other words, are you even sure Europeans want to buy the same old American porn products that were are so familiar with here?

    Exactly!

Im constanly telling our translation clients that, sure, it loses us some business because they dont want to expand their offerings but, those companies that do take our advice end up making a lot more money.

When targeting the international marketplace, it isnt just about translations or billing providers, its a lot more about the content, just because in the US we're used to wanting one type of content, more often than not, that same content wont sell abroad just as content from abroad wont sell in the US in most instances.

    Regards,

    Lee
