Hi

this person has sign to my program like 1 day in a half ago
X3 Online Media

this is what he sent me since 1 day in a half to my website

3092 X3 Online Media 5 sale(s) out of 312 click(s) 1.60 % 62.40 clicks per sale

the website he signed up with was http://x3om.com/ but there is nothing there i e-mailed him but no response i think this is the best ratio i have seen...

I would not worry too much about it. At least not initially... Check your logs to see where the traffic is actually coming from.

We often have affiliates sign up who list a site that is non-existant or under construction and send a good amount of sales from their other site(s) that never result in refunds or chargebacks.

Again, I'd say check your logs/stats program to see where the sales are actually coming from. Of course you can always Email the affiliate for more info.

You should wait a couple of weeks before you get too excited about this guys traffic for a few reasons, New programs sell really well the first few days then drop off, it could just be a lucky fluke that he’s numbers looked that good “after all it was only 1 ½ days” ECT. But a sale is a sale so that’s always good.

if you have good traffic sources sending you traffic (by good, i mean traffic sources like gaydemon and justusboys) and suddenly a newcomer starts sending traffic that is converting much better than your other affiliates, i think it bears looking into. twice this happened to us and both times they ended up being fraudulent signups from a webmaster using stolen credit cards.

http://x3om.com/ doesn't exist - it's just a placemarker - and the domain itself is only a few days old. also the domain info doesn't give a name, address or anything that is legally required. it says his zip code is 11111.

if you don't hear back from him and can't find the urls sending the traffic, talk to your processor's fraud department. his traffic could be as good as gold and he could be a great guy, but his lack of legitimate whois info, very recent domain and complete lack of website are definitely signs to keep an eye on this account's signups.

Those are some really good points I did not even think about “whois” his domain, but I don’t know about that whole justusboys stuff. That guys zip ECT dose sound very suspect, she is right you should keep a eye on him.

X3om.com has the same whois as JasonAdonis.com and PierreFitch.com

That site redirects to yours, so you must be affiliated with them in some way.

good catch, matt. and pierre says he is not affiliated - this guy signed up the domain pierrefitch.com before pierre did but he does not know him. the guy signed up for pierre's program apparently and is redirecting through his affiliate link.

a new low in domain squatting. Steal the name, then get 50% of the legitimate owner's revenue.

Pierre, you might have a shot at filing a grievance with ICANN. ICANN prohibits registration of a name solely to "squat", it's considered bad faith.

Because since the guy is redirecting traffic to you, you've now got solid evidence that his intention in securing the domain was not to use it for a legitimate purpose, but only to siphon traffic from you. Might cost you a lil money to file the grievance, but if you get the name back, it won't be long before you'd make it back in increased revenues.

Sounds like you might miss out on some sales but I would block that guy from my program. That’s just fucked up, I knew those numbers sounded to good to be true. So basically he is going to try to get ½ the money you make off of search engine traffic ECT I know of some movie stars that have sued to get their name back from people like that.
