What qre some of the most popular and best selling gay sites out there?

Im asking because I'm putting my site together and I want to compare what I have to offer, and my price points, to theirs.

I also want to get a sense of how fast their pages load, how graphic heavy they are, if the tours are fancy bells and whistles tours or just plain, and how professional or amateur the content is.
But mostly im concerned about price, and what the surfer expects at different price points.

Just throwing links at you isn't the answer to your question.

A lot depends on the niche and whether your site has exclusive content, purchased, a mix of both, feeds, and how often you'll update. Is it photo or videos or both? Price you assign may well be reflected in what it's going to cost you to show the content. IE: bandwidth, production costs, feed rentals, etc.

What I consider a top selling site won't be the same answer from the next person that reads this post. We all market differently and have different surfer traffic that has different interests.

I suggest finding other paysites that are similiar to your niche, and carrying a similiar arrangement of content and update schedule and noting what they charge.

Guess my point is this: compare apples to apples. And if you don't know what other apples are sitting on that display case next to yours, then you haven't researched enough to be doing a paysite.

For our traffic, the best performing sites are more or less anything big cock - our minion will bite at just about anything, so long as it is huge (real or not)!

I've tried a variety of sites that I considered great quality, offered exclusive content, and, more or less, cared about their patrons, however, they performed very poorly.
The only thing that tells me is the site does not have any guys on the front page, with a huge meat stick!
I was casting the wrong kinda lure!

Sorry about my reply time, Lee - I was off ... playing in the mountains.

Yes, many tried to imitate the originals, but all fail, horribly --- their work sucks ass ! Hell, some of our members do better work than some of those that front!

We trained a crew to do the enlargements, whom did the mods from 1999 until 2004.
We would have 'transformed' content for you, however the business partners decided to separate that division (many know it as Big Cock Content) from Large Cash (and due to contractual obligations :wtf: ) we are not able.
Although I fought hard to keep that option opened to us, I failed!

he has a site - it's all plugins and totally unfocused on his niche plus uses THE oldest content on the net, boys who look like they came from the 80s. we won't talk about the blurriness of the graphics

I think it's really hard to gauge things like "best-selling," b/cuz a lot of sites can sell really well and it's all subjective based on which niches they promote.

However, I think anybody here would certainly agree that there are still some clear-cut "giants" in the business. These are sites and/or affiliate programs that have garnered a lot of attention, as well as press, and continue to do exceptionally well in their niches. A short list would include CuriousCash, RandyBlue, JakeCruise, CorbinFisher, BadPuppy, PrideBucks, AmateurStraightGuys and ChiChiClicks/LiveandRaw, just to name a few.

It's important to realize, however, that there are many other sites out there that do very well for themselves who, for whatever reason, don't get as much attention. Don't take that list as indicative of anything special. A lot of the times people just have bigger budgets to spend on advertising.

I should probably clarify that what I meant here was, don't take that list as meaning that these sites are necessarily "better than" other sites that might not get the same amount of attention. Obviously, there is something special about any site that has been around for 5+ years and is still going strong. Good advertising only goes a certain distance. The rest has to be about the content.

I'd love to know what some of those "big boys" bring in, revenue-wise.... my totally made up, back-of-the-envelope numbers (x members at an avg of $x per month) are nothing short of amazing... wonder how accurate those guesses are, of course.

even a rough guess, though, is amazing. (sean cody is $24.95 for 30 days and goes down from there for longer periods; so if he has 2000 paying members @ avg of $20/mo, that's $40k/mo... nice...)

but I have no idea if 2000 paying members is a reasonable guess :-)

my sites are fairly niche and do well, but none of them are pulling those kinds of figures!! (yet?!) :-)
