Question about Bulk Email

ok, I am talking to someone about marketing their site and bulk emails came up.

With all the changes with it all, does anyone know what is legal and what is not? Is it worth doing because of the traffic that can come from it? Do other companies look down on people that do it?

From what i gather Andy, as long as the removal link IS actually a rmoval link you can still pretty much do just about anything you want with bulk mail.

Kind of weird actually this law started to stop spam appears to have one quite the opposite

From what I gather from it is that it needs to have a real removal link, the subject line must not mislead the person to think it's something other then adult, and it shouldn't contain X rated images to stop children from getting access to adult images.

Do you guys think it's worth trying for the possable traffic that can come from it? Do we (companies) look down on companies that do it?

I know when I get bulk emails, 1 I I will over look and remove my name off the list, 2 I will remove my name and delete it (AGAIN), 3-5 from the same company and I will email their isp, product they are offering and the company that sends the email about why they haven't removed me.
