Ok so Im brain storming some things right now!

anyone have any keys ideas for creating a succesful blog site!
any key elements I should make sure I include and also what are good ways to promote and give a blog site traffic...

I can write well and I have plenty of character and funny stories I want to share with the world! Almost like a " Kelly Taylor " Column maybe with a different name?

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for something of this nature?
any important things to remember and how do I find people that would be interested! See I dont want something cheesy like a myspace or blog.com or anything I want to run my own blog site so any help is appreciate!

I almost have it completed and Im working with a fun designer but I need to remember you guys have all the good and information that will be key in helping me make this something and that will work! So once again, all the help will be much appreciate.!! hehe this will be fun for me .. cause I like to write so much and tell so many interesting things!!

any twice I have had myspace mess up my stuff so it is time to do this right and take it into my own hands! HAHA of course this site will be more than just blogging software it is a unique Idea I got and that is why I have been so busy .. I have so much Im doing right now.. but once again like I said I wont stay away from the board forever.. but a boys got to do what a boys got to do.. and I got some stuff to take care of :kelly:

P.s. THIS WILL NOT BE A PAYSITE OR NECCESSARLY HAVING TO DO WITH PORN.. IT WILL HAVE SUGGESTIVE AND OTHER SORTS OF PICS AND ELEMENTS THAT PUSH LIMITS AND THE BLOG MAYBE DIRRTY AND FUNNY ETC... It will be alot like brandon bakers party with brandon site with a kick ass design and completly different layout like a bio site... Kinda like Ken Knoxx's site!

My advice:

Pick something you want to say, and say it well. Give your blog a personality. But don't make it a vanity site. That way it will be a venture that can grow beyond just yourself.

Don't run a blog that becomes rehashing and reprinting press releases and statements that can be found all over the Internet. Be original. Your creativity will be rewarded.

And I think you may have the same problem that I have -- we love to write and what we could say in 20 words, we say in 50. People on the web don't tend to like reading a lot, so I always try to keep my blogs short and to the point. I suppose there are exceptions, but most of the web is geared towards the visual and not reading.

Few people aren't going to ready a 1,000-word blog entry.

And remember, your blog could be picked up by anyone and republished, so if you don't want the whole world knowing about it, I wouldn't say it.

If you want to build traffic to your blog, you need to publish consistently. Every day.

I would disagree a bit though on the notion that a blog has to be kept to a short structure. A lot is going to depend on the focus of your blog, if its discussion type or if its a diary type or informational.

Also I think people do read more online than some give them credit for. Problem is what you write and how you write it plus how you display it. If you write volumes but put it in tiny font sizes, it won't get read just as if you format it into huge sizes.

An example is a blog written with the CAPS lock on ... :honest:
