    Can you believe?

That UGAS said this “you cannot have links or banners or text leading to any sites with the name "boys" in it because it does promote underage boys”

Can these people really be serious about this BS what planet are they from? Dose this example of a tittle sound like it promotes kiddy porn? “Australia Beach Boys” the word boy is the same as the word girl its not used to determine age like the word preteen does WTF :wtf:

there are many pay per click search engines that also won't allow the use of the words "boys" or "girls".

why not just work within the rules and make your money? just maybe ugas - who uses jeffrey douglas, one of the most respected attorneys in our industry - knows something you don't.

It's just a case of someone going with the "ultra safe" level of advice they were given. I can certainly see why some companies would want to ban the word though. Especially a site that deals with a wide variety of niches like UGAS does.

Surfers who are into big real men go to a site that also has fresh faced 18yo twinks and sometimes they flip out because they believe they are looking at CP. Nothing will convince a stud lover that it is normal to like twinks. In their eyes if you like twinks then you must also be a ****. Having words like "boys" on such sites just adds to the confusion.

Nowadays I try to segregate the two niches as much as I can. If there is a traffic connection I'll make it very clear that the guys are 18+, and I really watch the language I use.

Maybe its just the fact that I am gay that has given me a predisposition against pussies :sneak:

Well I think that the word “bear” does advocate bestiality and they should have banned that too.

so you think they would be more manly to go to one of the best and most expensive attorneys in the business and ignore his advice?

you don't understand what business is, do you? you think it's all a game and a gamble. some of us do what we think will protect our businesses, make it stronger, make it less vulnerable through legal channels - or any other channels. that's what responsible business owners do.

do you also not lock your domains to show you're not a pussy?

The word “bareback” promote unsafe sex and is illegal is some states
The word “gay” is seen by many to be immoral, and promoting deviant lifestyles
All of these “Str8 Bait” sites promote a kind of rape
US military sites break the “not ask don’t tell” law

I can go on and on, but the point is that once you start banning words where is it going to stop? UGAS is one of the largest online gay companies, but instead of leading the fight for all of us they are hiding behind a bunch of lawyers. I guess I can not expect someone like you to understand that, but I do not just make gay site to make money. I believe it is a good way to desensitize people, normalize us to the public, and show the next generation that not all gay people are like the media wants to portray us. You not being a gay male I can see how that might escape you.

Just stop whining and deal with it. You want the easy entry into the biz so you do twinks. Apparently you didn't do any research to find out the advantages or disadvantages of such a decision.

Your immaturity and unprofessional approach to this business is tedious.

If you're not creative enough to promote "young men over the age of 18" then you're not going to last much longer. Don't blame it on the people that take this business seriously.

you're just throwing out what you think, and that's only supposition based on your personal belief of morality.

you seem to have a lot of trouble understanding this but ugas isn't guessing and choosing arbitrary words. they paid very large amounts of money to one of the top lawyers who works only in our industry and who knows which words have already been attacked in court because he researched the hell out of it.

I don't know much about AVS/AEN sites and their situation with Visa. I recall they were on shaky ground awhile back. Visa had this idea that AVS sites were actually 3rd party processors for the sites under them and that those sites should be bound to the Visa regs (which frown upon the word boy). Could this have something to do with that?

If not, my money is still on confused surfers resulting in the ban of the word.

Sometimes it's not about sticking up for what is legal. The decision to ban something can be about unwanted attention. Among certain audiences, the word boy can cause confusion. Plain and simple.

What the fuck are you talking about? No it isn't! Bareback sex is not illegal in any states as long as it's between consenting adults. Although gay sex (aka. sodomy) was illegal in 13 states until The Supreme Court ruled on Lawrence v. Texas and negated all State sodomy laws in October of 2003.

Btw, are you sure UGAS forbids "boy"? Recently you accused Mancheck of not allowing some things but you were confusing it with Mansites. If you search for "boy" on UGAS you will find plenty of listings.

Ya that’s what UGAS told me 2 day ago? I don’t know why they would have links in their own site that has that word, but who know what they are doing, like too many bigger sites they have too many chiefs and almost no Indians.

Hey Xstr8 you know UGAS better than me can I ask you a question? I know your banners have to be 450X100 or less but can I have 2 per page or will they just allow only one? They are really hard to get a straight answer from and really I can not find a list of their rules anyplace :argue:

ugas rules regarding banners on their participating sites. preferred and platinum have different rules:

"You may not have more than 2 banners on your front end pages, and no more than one banner per page, including content pages, max of 5 banners total in your content pages."
