paycom.net anyone know anything about these guys? looks like they will let you have free trials, and are not very picky at all. But it sounds to good to be true something has to be wrong with them

You've been in the porn business for how long? And you've never heard of Paycom/Epoch? They are the ONLY other trusted 3rd party biller other than CCbill.

Really sorry, I guess with all the names I got mixed up about them, and really I have not been working with processing companies for long, so I take it they are good. Well they really let you have free trials? And not even tell people what that charge will rebill at?

No legitimate processor is going to allow you to deceptively bill a customer. If you're trying to set up a site that will allow a free triel and not mention that it rebills at $49.95 or something, there's no way Epoch or CCbill would allow that, as it's a near-guarantee you'll get chargebacks, or don't you know about those either?

Basically, if you get 1% or more chargebacks, you lose your processing, or get fined a gigantic amount of money. As such, all of the legitimate IPSPs have rules in place to ensure that customers are happy and chargebacks are minimized.

Epoch will, for some customers, allow cross-sells with prechecked boxes (check here to also subscribe to thissite.com for an additional $19.95...) but even that is carefully watched to ensure chargebacks don't go over allowed ratios.

If you're looking for deceptive billing options, there are plenty of off-brand processors in Latvia and places like that (the same guys that process for the "artistic nude" child sites) that will probably process for you, until they disappear in the middle of the night...

Well that’s really not what I was looking for myself, I just saw another site that did all that stuff, really the only thing that interested me was the free trials. Do you know any of them that will do free trials? I would like to try a month or so with free 2-3 day trials too see how that would work, I am sure its a bad idea, but I like to learn things the hard way sometimes. The only times I have ever had charge backs was when I took checks, so that’s really not an issue for me at this time. I have contacted them too see what’s up, but think it will be tomorrow before they get back to me.

The other thing to consider about free trials... you'll have a bazillion people who join for free, slurp up all your content, and then cancel. Unless you have an insane amount of bandwidth to throw away (or very little video content), you'll probably spend a fortune in bandwidth overages.

The people that I know of who are successful with free trials (or, for that matter $3 trials) either do prechecked cross-sells, or have *tons* of content so they're confident that members will want to convert to regular memberships.
