Other types of billing? how well do they work

I am in the process of redoing our billing interface and I am incorprating some of the other non standard billing options for countries that dont primaraly use credit cards.

has anyone had a good sucess with charging systems like

    sms
per min phone billling ( the dialer type )
bill me later / charge me later invoicing
    900# billing

any words of caution against these options?

I dont intend to confuse the surfur by displaying all of these options , rather use geo select to show the one relevent to the country / area they are coming in from

What countries are you going to be redirecting to what billing options?

European countries, all have a good credit card marketplace, as long as you have a processor that is able to handle the cards.

Asia pacific countries also have a good penetration of credit card users, as long as you have a processor that can handle them.

The only countries, IMHO that you need to be redirecting is Russia, to a dialer.

    Regards,

    Lee

GX Bill is a pretty awesome pay-by-phone company that can handle dialup & broadband connections. They offer a monthly rate option for US and CA, and per minute options for all other countries. But the best feature they have is their geo-targeting software, which is free and totally easy to use. All you have to do is select the list of countries you want to divert to gxbill then add a couple of lines of code to your billing page and you instantly have a geotargeted billing solution for all your traffic.

...and they plug into NATS, MPA, X3 and other affiliate systems too.

    cheers,
    Luke

My main focus is direct merchant accounts, onshore and offshore, ACH, debit cards and directpay, along with all of the ancillary services, fraud scrubbing, payment gateways, etc..... We have some new direct offshore banking relationships coming online that will allow us to offer some amazingly inexpensive and stable processing deals in the coming weeks.

We have some great alternative billing systems that we work on together with 2000charge. One of which is a pre-paid stored value product, done in conjunction with 2000charge, called Easybuy.

Easybuy is a pre-paid, stored value payment method that is now available in over 7,000 locations in the US, with over 250,000 users. We have just implemented 2,000 locations in Brazil, and 1,500 locations in Mexico, and we have just closed a deal for 30,000 locations in the UK, as well as 3,000 locations in Russia.

Even more exciting, we have 6,000 locations in CHINA, with over 300,000 users currently utilizing this payment method to make payments online.

There are a few CC holders in Shanghai, Beijing, and Hongkong, but even those few are fearful of exposing their identity online. Easybuy is anonymous, safe, and allows the unbanked customer to do business with you. It does NOT allow chargebacks, and it is not dependent on the CC interchanges or regulations.. It's a virtual cash transaction for you, the merchant.

We also have a process through 2000charge called DirectPay, which "pushes" the funds from the customers bank to you, which means cuts way down on chargebacks, and allows customers that don't have CCs to use your service.

Directpay is available in Andorra Austria Belgium Croatia Cyprus Czechrepublic
Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Gibraltar Greece Hungary Iceland Ireland Italy Latvia Lithuania Luxembourg Macedonia Malta The Netherlands
Norway Poland Portugal Romania Serbia Slovak Republik Slovenia Spain
Sweden Switzerland United Kingdom Tunisia Turkey

    ...as well as the US.

    Contact me for more details.

AVOID 2000Charge. Run the other way.

They ripped us off for a bunch of money in 2004, and in spite of the fact that the owner of the company has personally acknowledged to me that the money is owed, he refuses to pay it.

There are many other options run by reputable billers offering similar services. You don't need to work with a company that won't honor its own written agreements.

The guy at 1,2,3 Bill is a really nice guy and I have heard good things about them... Well I mean I guess there is only some many nice things you can say about a PAY LATER BILLING SERVICE..But from what I understand they dont screw anyone over and for a pay later service they are one of the best ones.. I dunno I could be wrong but I have met the owner several times and he seems like a really cool guy... He was hanging out with me and lindsay in florida
