God I Hate Math.. Need Help Please..

Lets say i have one free site template, with 4 different options that can be changed on it.

Layout
Colors
Site
Banner

How many different layouts are there available for that 1 free site template?

Anyone know how to figure the math out on that? LOL

For starters you'll need to know how many different variables there are for each option .. colors - 5? layout - 2? etc.

Lee-if you have one template, how can you change the layout and still consider it the same template? And gaystoryman is correct, you need to know exactly how many options are available for each variable.
If we just focus on colors, we can say that there are 4 basic options available: background color, font color, hyperlink color, and hyperlink hover color (there are shitloads more, but bear with me) and if you only give them four different color options, then already you have 16 possible variations.
If you are trying to market templates, then I would create 4 or 5 'layouts' and then let the customer personalize them with all of the other variables.

And I hate trigonometry...I have a huge trig exam tomorrow :-(

Got worked to signup for a digital graphics class at the Art Institute, but algebra and trigonometry was required :frown:

This is the correct formula, but not sure I would tell people they could have a possible 256 combination, they will not get it and think you are full of shit.

You simply multiply the number of options for each variable.

obviously some galleries will look similar, ie, same Layout, Colors, Site but different Banner.....but they WILL be different.
