Phoenix Forum has been incredible for us. Everyone there was totally there to do business... I heard a lot of people commenting that there were a lot less shitface-drunk people there, and a LOT more focus on business.

AJ and I got more productive business done in 3 days than in our last 4 shows combined. And I heard the same thing from about a dozen people... it seemed as though we spent the whole weekend running from meeting to meeting to meeting... but it was great because it will yield a TON of new business and revenues for us, as well as for the people we're partnering with.

Anyone who is serious about growing their business is crazy not to attend the next Phoenix Forum.

I can't wait for the Gay Phoenix Forum!!

    Just Returned

We just returned from the Phoenix Forum. It was our first adventure to this type of show. We had an opprotunity to meet many people from this board and that was really cool. During this time many people took time out to help us better understand the nature of the business and how we can play a role.

Special thanks to everyone and if I missspelled your name sorry english is a second language for us.

    and many more....

Thanks to everyone for giving us a helping hand... hope we can make it happen.

The Forum was great. I really don't see how anyone can afford not to go. Like Chip, I got more concrete business done in two days that the past three Internexts.

The thing I love the most about the Forum is the hotel. The hotel is built around a courtyard, and so all of the meal/drink events take place there. As well, at any time throughout the day, you can just go to the courtyard and find dozens of people hanging out. It's so relaxed and easy to join tables and meet new people.

The one thing that I don't like about the Phoenix Forum is that it is so relaxed that you'll be in the middle of a meeting with someone, trying to get some business done, and people continual stop by to say hello and interrupt. It would be rude to say, "Sorry, we're in a meeting." Seems like a good tactic is to sit at a table with your laptop open, even if it's not on everyone things, "Oh ... meeting." At the same time, the constant interruptions are a good way to meet new people, so there's good and bad.

    Cheers,
    Michael

I was only there a short time. Had fun. Met a bunch of people.

Wish I had the chance to do a bit more business, but in the end, I think it was a good show.

What I felt was really good was that I was able to go as an established person.. I didn't have to go around introducing myself.. people all know who I am.

I didn't have to resort to kooky antics to get noticed. I could go and talk business with people.

And yes, I got some drunken straight guy action.

But what was the best thing was that I was able to sit down with some friends who work for compediting companies and we could share ideas. We could reveal who our best converting affilaites are and what ideas and changes to our sites we've made that have added members and extended retention.

I got lots of input and insight from members of the straight side, who for the most part don't know much but can give you some really great info.

For instance, I was able to get numbers on exactly how many of the guys who watch predominantly straight porn from the VOD companies will also watch a bit of gay and solo male. I was surprised, and that's not easy to do.

I didn't do as much business as usual, but it was a very good experience for us. We as a membership site that doesn't have feeds or purchase content or license our content to many people aren't really going to have those big splashes that some people do, but in the end, yeah, I'm glad we went, and although we'll probably forego Florida, we're going to be in Phoenix in October.
