Producers - keep an eye out for these copyright violators

Standard way they work is to post clips of your videos on to Rapidshare or some such free hosting service to distribute the vids via posts in their blog (accompanied by thumbnails or images from your video).

Rapidshare is pretty good about removing videos the moment they receive a complaint of copyright infringement. So I find it best to e-mail them first at abuse@rapidshare.de with the URLs of the copyrighted material and a request to remove it. It usually is taken down within a day or two.

Then, FAX Google (they own blogspot/blogger) with a DMCA complaint to:

    Google, Inc.
    Attn: Blogger, DMCA complaints
    1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy
    Mountain View, CA 94043
    fax. (650) 618-1499

I've had them take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to respond, but they eventually do. My DMCA complaints to them usually revolve around the images the blog operator posts to accompany a link to the pirated video (since those images are actually uploaded to blogger's services, hosted there by blogger/google, and are most often unaltered, straight-stripped versions of the copyrighted images from a site).

I've seen tons of stuff not only from CorbinFisher but also SeanCody, Fratmen, Falcon, Titan, PierreFitch, Helix, Cobra, ActiveDuty, BelAmi, Colt, and countless others on there so some of you all might want to take a glance at those sites and make sure your stuff isn't on there in case anyone from those companies reads this forum.

If you know of any other blogspot/blogger sites that are bad about this, do let me know. Thanks!

Thank goodness my studio is not considered big enough to be pirated by these sites!

BUT, with sites like these that give away porn pics, what is the point?

The bottom line for a content producing studio and website(s) like mine is that it fill customers' need for nude male images, and then they don't need to buy mine.

    Thanks Brian.

some of mine were on there.

I try to search for those all the time, and it's often hard.. they don't use the term "Fratmen" and sometimes dont' even use the model name.

Oddly enough, they use stuff that I'd have given them for free if they asked for it and were selling memberships to my site.

I'm pretty free with content when bloggers wanna use it and just give me a link.

    Oh well.

Yeah people like that get my goat.

There are a great many bloggers out there who do things on the up and up. Some of our best traffic comes from bloggers who have emailed to request some content to feature in their blogs... and they're also some of our biggest affiliates, earning a hefty income for themselves through promoting our site, as well as many other sites on their blog legitimately and with the sponsors' permission.

    People. hrmph.

BTW, one thing I have noticed with many of these blogspot sites is that after the first DMCA complaint to Google, it's often a very, very, very long while (if ever!) that your content will appear on that blog again. Either Google notifies the blog operator that one more complaint from the same source will kill their blog, or Google themself monitors it to make sure no more content from the same copyright owner appears (most likely the former). So that's a positive note, at least. However, it doesn't help the other producers, of course. Not until they submit their own complaint, at least.

Mind you, the video that he had of mine had a big "Fratmen.TV" tag on it, so it's not like I REALLY care that much. We have over 100 movies, and that was just 9 minutes out of 40 of one of them.

It's actually a pretty good ad for us.
