Gay Voyeur reality site turns 8 this week
One of the longest running Gay reality sites on the web, Collegeboyslive.com, will celebrate its 8th birthday on Saturday April 15th. “Eight years is a long time and I never imagined that the show would continue for so long.” said the founder Zac Adams.
Collegeboyslive.com was grown from an idea when Zac realized he was gay and started blogging about it and adding video and cameras to what was then a small personal website. Quickly it became very popular and Zac added roommates to his house in Orlando Florida, quickly followed by more cameras, and more Roommates. Today Collegeboyslive.com has 2 houses, one in Orlando and one in Tampa and have 10 Gay Roommates who really live in the houses and have cameras follow their lives 24/7.
It hasn’t been all roses for the company, several years ago they were the focus of a lawsuit by their local HOA that objected to them filming the series in their neighborhood, eventually after a 2 year battle the Collegeboyslive decided to move to an even larger house in a better , non HOA controlled neighborhood. “After 2 years of court battles and fighting the HOA that was backed financially by a religious rights group it wasn’t cost effective to waste the money on attorneys so we decided to look for a new home” Zac explained.
Since moving into the new home the site has expanded and they have added a 2nd house in Tampa, one that produced an overnight success. “I was a little worried about adding a 2nd house as I actually live and am on cam in the 1st house and I can control things more readily from here, however we gave it a shot and it has worked very very well. The Roommates we have in Tampa right now are some of the best we have seen at the site and they are one crazy drama filled bunch but we are all like family” Zac told us
Since its inception the site has added affiliate sites and sells its content to many other gay adult websites where their members can get to see more than just sex. “Today’s members also seem to want more than just raw sex, now sex happens quite a lot at collegeboyslive, I mean you put a group of hot gay boys 18-25 together in a house sex will happen but the members also love watching the interaction and the fights. Its like the gay real world” Zac commented.
Collegeboyslive.com is also one of the most technologically advanced sites out there, a network on computers monitor the house and the roommates and provide feedback to the members, feedback such as letting members know when a particular boy is taking a shower or a picture has been updated via remote while the boys are out and about. The boys carry small internet enabled devices that enables them to send pictures, text and tracking information back to the site while they are out, meaning that even out of the house the members can still keep up on what is happening with the roommates. All this happens in real time. The house is also intelligent, adjusting the lighting and the cameras to make sure that there is a picture even if the boys turn out all the lights, touch screens and the “house voice” reminds the boys about chores and when it is their time to chat. “the house voice, or Clair, as the boys have named her keeps the boys in line and makes sure the are never late to chat” zac explained.
Zac plans a big party to celebrate this and many more years living life in “the fish bowl”
