    From what I can tell, that's only if you're buying some other product, ie hosting etc.

    I used (or *attempted* to use is the more correct term) GoDaddy last week for some .EU domains.

    I TOTALLY don't see what people see in them. I was trying to do a simple registration, and I had to wade through about 5 pages of crap trying to sell me other services, with carefully hidden links to move me through without selling me other shit I didn't want.

    Contrast that to Enom, where I can put in the domain name I want, and with two clicks, I own it.

    I guess GoDaddy has to pay for their expensive Superbowl ads somehow, but I'd rather have a registrar that can just do their job simply and efficiently, without trying to upsell me on a bunch of worthless shit.

    Make an account, log into it, then go buy domains -- you'll have an option to check a button saying to use Express - that you're an experienced user of Godaddy, and you'll bypass all the ads.
