Anyone Else Having Problems With Aebn?

I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with their AEBN site? I have had several people buy time, yet I am not receiving the credit. I have had them send me a copy of their transaction receipt, which I have forwarded to my rep at AEBN. I seem to be getting a run around from them. I also seem to be having several techinical problems with my site that I have asked them to be resolve, but nothing seems to be getting resolved. Let me know if you have experienced the same:

I sign up under my account and don't receive credit. I have my suspicions with them plus I can't view the videos without having to rerun their script for both windows and realplayer everytime just to see the video. It's not worth it anymore...nothing but problems with them now.

I haven't used them in ages. I can't seem to upsell any PPV sponsors so I quit trying. Besides the payouts are so chintzy... why bother?

Their member site feeds have problems too, they are no longer cutting the movies up so people can select the section they would want to watch, “say it is a error LOL they are trying to fix” they must think people are stupid, I know how to cut a movie in 3-6 parts that is not a error, it is a attempt to increases bandwidth for them. Probably to make up for the loses they have in other area, as well as the number on movies is dropping, and they have new feeds set-up that they can not find people willing to provide enough movies to them to even operate. I think they are going in the wrong direction and instead of improving the site, they are going out like bitches, like so many others I have seen in the past. :frown:

As a content producer, I host 80 movies with AEBN, and the checks are robust. I think their stats are valid. I put up a new title and the stats start spinning like the LEDs at the gas pump.

VHS is dead, DVDs are almost dead... VOD is what consumers want... I could never be angry that I earn 30-50% rev share on my content (because they do the encoding, streaming, hardware maintenance, bandwidth, and billing pieces)...

I think it is ridiculous that some webmasters think theirs is the only portal to the World Wide Web, and they deserve huge percentages of producers' work to promote anything of interest on the web to surfers just because they put up a webpage with some nake dpics... I think the sheep are much smarter than the gatekeepers on that.

I am not happy with them at all right now. I noticed on the leased feeds bandwidth for feeds I wasn't even using. I called and emailed them but for some reason they refuse to call me back. They have some good feeds but they honestly need to fix the problems they are having and make sure updates are seamless. Every update their has been issues and I have had members cancel etc. I really hope they get their act together.

Nick what does your answer have to do with my question? I have a site thru AEBN. I also have copies of receipts from customers and I am not getting the credit on these sales from them. I asked was anyone else having similar problems. It seems others have had the same problem. You answer seems to be more motivated toward any of us models having a site at all on AEBN and making money off of movies we appear in. I am not asking to receive a huge share of the money, I am asking to receive my share of what i am entitled to. When people tell me they bought time thru my site and I look and am not getting the credit, I want this problem solved. Whether I'm receiving 50 cents or $50. The bottom line is, that 20% I get I am entitled to.

I have not noticed any tracking problems with AEBN myself. But that does not mean there are not any. Yes - I find AEBNs checks to be impressive and robust, but I also wish I had more information as an affiliate.

As a sidenote, if your referral is already an AEBN customer, then you will not get credit. Remember, you get credit for the lifetime of new customers. So if I tried buying something through your site, you'd not get anything cause I've bought from them already.

I have discovered several tracking problems with several large well-known programs, and its simply because something got messed up. Try this - follow your links and make a test purchase. Then email your rep with transaction numbers. (which you say you've done) Get them to follow the chain and see if it credits properly.

It took me a couple of weeks on the phone to get a very large studio and their third party billing agent to stop pointing fingers and see a reporting problem. Then they fixed it! But unless I got really specific, they didn't know precisely where to look. In AEBN's case, they have grown leaps and bounds very quickly, so I think its a bit chaotic around there. So just remember that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I know its annoying, but its part of the trials and tribulations of being an affiliate. Of course the upside is that you are running a business that needs not be burdened with the costs of handling money or physical inventory. :-)

I just wish they would fix the members feed problems “not allowing people to use the segments” and stop BSing me by saying it is an error they are trying to fix. After all how hard is it to cut a movie in 4 parts. :vamp:

Thanks Desslock for that info! Where I am confused though is if a person joined AEBN thru my site and they bought time, I get credit. But if they buy more time, do I still get credit?

Correct. Let's say today your site sends AEBN customer #1234

That means if customer 1234 returns in a month and rents two more movies, you will receive commissions from their purchases.

If I sent AEBN customer #1234, than I receive them. Even if next month they clicked from your website using your affiliate links.

But remember, there are plenty of fish in the sea. And new ones are born everyday.

As a porn model, you can potentially make a nice little side stream of revenue from a personal website. I would consider it. I'd point to Pierre Fitch or Carlos Morales who have very nice ones.

If you need technological help, be crafty.

Our experience as a producer with AEBN is that they rarely return calls or emails, though they are not nearly as bad as Maleflixxx, who never EVER returned calls or emails until AJ cornered every single Maleflixx person in attendance at Phoenix Forum. Now we get our calls returned most of the time.

I think all these VOD people are just slammed right now because VOD is growing like crazy, everyone wants their attention, and there are probably a lot of "growing pains" for all of them.

I will say that AEBN has been doing quite well for us and reporting seems to be accurate, so I'd suggest being persistent and you'll probably get resolution.

Mark buddy, I'm with you on that complaint. I pay over $10,000 a month to AEBN and still get the same kind of useless customer service. No help on their end for suspicious feed usage. No help in determining whom the problem lies with. I have some really great contacts/friends over there but they don't seem to function well as a unit. I have no trouble with the VOD commissions, I actually have good success with that, stats are a little wonky but from month to month it seems to add up. The problems with the feed updates at the beginning of the month had gotten better for a while... this month, however, was a nightmare for angry members and as has been said is still not entirely fixed. It's getting to the point where I almost dread checking emails at the beginning of the month. Anyone at AEBN care to step up to the plate in their defence? I'm sure there will be alot of webmasters who would appreciate some words of encouragement.

Chip, I agree with that they are growing fast and likely swamped. New staff seem to come in there alot.

As producers, we've enjoyed a healthy relationship with AEBN. We've done very well and both Chris Baker and Keith Suttles have been responsive to most all of our needs.

Every time we are featured in the "director of the week" spot or have one of our movies on the home page, our numbers jump up in response.

I think that Cam would be much happier with them if we could get one of our movies re-loaded into their system.

Keep at it Randy, you'll get a response from them and, as Cam always likes to say "...you'll attract more bees with honey.." so hang in there and charm them with your home style Jersey smile!
