    Anyone else using KidSafe Digimarc?

Is anyone else using the free Kidsafe Digimarc watermarking system to help protect their content from kids?

Check out the following link for more info:
    http://www.icra.org/pkd/

We have been using it on all our image and graphics content to help prevent kids from being exposed to our content. It's quick, easy to use, and free!

It's not foolproof or perfect, but at least it's something we can easily implement. Just like labeling of your sites, labeling your content shows you are trying to do the "right thing" and help protect kids from accidental exposure to adult content.

Yes, we know that it only works if the parents have installed filtering software. But, at least we know we have tried to do our part.

We started using the adult content Digimarc filter about a year ago, and we've noted that fact on our page so anyone that runs across our warning can find out about the Digimarc filtering.

I'm curious if you (or anyone else) is also using the Digimarc content spidering service to identify people using your copyrighted images? We have been considering doing that as well, but I don't know what percentage of pirated images are behind membership protection, where the spider obviously doesn't reach.

Bingo! You hit the nail on the head Chip! The majority of stolen content is in areas that the spider cannot find! We had several meetings with Digimarc years ago about using their spiders, but we felt it just was not worth the money they wanted for the service.

We still find the most effective way to find stolen content is loyal customers. We have many customers, and affiliates, that will send us links to our stolen content all the time. It's funny how protective some of them can get about our stuff, they are almost as aggressive as I am!

We reward tipsters with free membership or free DVDs. Nothing like free porn to get people to squeal! The more freindly eyes you have surfing the net and watching out for you the better!
