Justin Berry resurfaces

I was watching CNN this morning and there was Justin Berry again. Ken Gourlay was arrested yesterday in Michigan for louring Justin to Michigan and escorting Justin out and molesting him. When the US Attorney General wouldn't move on it, Justin went the the Michigan Attorney General and that is how he got Ken Gourlay arrested.

Also Ken Gourlay's rommate was also arrested a month prior from the Attorney General finding possible underage pics on the guys computer, they happened to check while trying to arrest Gourlay and nabbed his roomie also.

I tried to find the article on Gourlay's arrest yesterday but I couldn't find anything published yet. I found the article on his roomies arrest but not Gourlay's yet.

Gourlay's attorney said he will look forward to taking it to trail. I bet. Should be rather an easy case to win.

From what I observed on CNN Gourlay appears to be just a little older then Justin's, to me it looked like Justin moved in with him and they were boyfriends. Now he is rolling over on him. How does this guy sleep at night?

I think justin is just the puppet in this, every time you see him you see the NY times guy right there talking asbout upcoming books and maybe movies.

interesting that they couldnt find anyhting bad on Ken the 1st time so they leave then coem back with annother attack. wonder what he was arrested on now ?

I don't understand the fact that when someone underage rapes another underage person, or kills them, they are tried, and sometimes tried as adults.

This is the only case of CP I've ever seen where the perpetrator is underage and responsible for the offense. Pretty sad that all those underage guys he duped into doing online sex will never see him held accountable for what he did.

probally offered them "Bigger fish" in return for his immumity

although it protects him from criminal prosicution in this case I bet if the people harrased and arrested are found innocent andf that he lied they can sue him and the NY times in cival court ?

chadknowslaw may be better able to tell us on this point of law? can the fbi and DOJ reverse their immumity agreement if it is found that this kid lied to them ?

An immunity agreement is almost always contingent upon the accuracy of the information provided, and often on other terms as well (usefulness of the information provided in exchange.) So if he lied to the FBI regarding the info he provided, in a material way (as in, not just a minor item open to interpretation), then it's likely that the Feds could rescind the immunity agreement. However, from what I understand, it's pretty rare for that to happen.

Now... as for the people that Justin has wronged in one way or another (kids he enticed into performing sex acts while underage, people who joined his site because they were told he was of age, and got in trouble because he wasn't), I am pretty sure that they could file civil cases against him... however, it's a little tricky, since he was underage part of the time and of age part of the time.

My guess is that he will probably be slippery enough to get away without any major problems. He seems like a total manipulator who successfully has gotten everyone, including Eichenwald, to buy into his crap.

The kid knew what he was doing from day one! He has managed to paly victim and will make lots of money off of the whole thing! Hopefully he will get back what he has put out

I don't think she was in on it, but I think she had an amazing case of denial. No parent wants to believe their kid, particularly their 13 year old kid, is a sexual being. And so it stands to reason that since he had a plausible cover story (web design work... apparently he's actually not bad at it...) it offered a convenient excuse for denial and she then didn't have to think about whatever it was.

The kid also sets of my gaydar at least somewhat, so that could perhaps fit into her denial as well.

Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone considered that both this case and the Michael Jackson trial involved having some young guy very publically discussing his masturbatory habits, in the MJ case, discussing when and how often he masturbated under oath and being cross-examined by lawyers?

I dunno about anyone else, but if I was 14 or 15 and somebody was asking me about this sort of stuff, I would have been mortified.

I think the subscribers to his JustinsFriends.com website should be able to sue. He was 18 for the entire time he ran this website and this is where the list of “1500 pedophiles” came from. Justin has just managed to find a better deal. Why make hundreds of thousands over 5 years making and maintaining a website, when you can make millions in months by appearing on TV Shows. Plus think of the movie and book deals the guy will get out of this. He will be a millionaire before his 21st birthday, and what does he care about the innocent members he plows down in the meantime. I read somewhere that Oprah paid Justin $100,000 just for his appearance on the show.

think it was on MSNBC they ran a clip of the guy testifying to congress, in his thousands-of-dollars suit, saying he got the camera to meet girls but ended up prostituting for guys.

And that was for years ... which had me asking myself ... is this guy lieing, had a gun held to his head, or slow to realise for 5+ years he won't meet any girls selling his ass on webcam to dudes!? :juggle:
