Does Amazon allow porn sites to participate in their affiliate program and accept links from porn sites? I can't find anything in their terms and conditions that excludes them, but I thought someone here might have some experience with them.

I haven't dared to test them on my porn sites (for instance gaybumlinks and now my gay porn blog) -- I've been busted by too many mainstream programs before.

I will say though that on my gay dating tips site and my other mainstream site amazon does very well for me.

Join Amazon's affiliate program, and go post your inquiry on their creaky, old affiliate message forum.

It's interesting there is nothing in the terms. Amazon is one company that dots all the i's and crosses all t's.

I've never put Amazon links off my adult site. If I want to sell the occasional mainstream DVDs from friskyfans, I link to TLAvideo. They will pay a slightly better commission. Unfortunately - TLA's rediculous tracking cookie lasts a mere 20 minutes, versus Amazon's "just okay" 24 hours.

But try an experiment and see if they shut you down. I can say that I've see websites.. I think some porn models, who have mixed up some Amazon affiliate links in their website.

Another out of the box alternative - make a seperate website as a "firewall." Have it be your "suggestive but not explicit" site, and put your amazon links on there. I don't know what you are selling, but don't forget ebay either.

I've really amplified my mainstream sites with eBay affiliate stuff, instead of Amazon. In its race to emerge profitable from those old beginning heavy loss years, they have been cutting back on their commissions. But they have everything, and you'll make sales because people like to shop there.
