    customer email me this

He ask me for a refund so and said he only was on my site for 2 days

so i email him back and ask why he wants a refund and i don't think he should get a refund for going in my site for a full 2 days getting what he needs

so i told what is the reason for this refund he emailed me back and said

As interesting as I found your terribly misspelled response, your
website is not what it advertises to be which gives me full right to press
legal charges. Try checking with your legal department. Allow me to
introduce myself, my name is Aaron Fogleman and I'm a corporate attorney
in Pennsylvania. You might want to look into that refund again. I've
been known to press charges for less!

    thx, Aaron

now i email him back saying

Go ahead and charge me allow me to introduce myself i have my own back up lawyer i'm not scared of you ..

so he is charging me for 29.95

Fuck him...if your sites TOS state that no refunds are given and that they confirm that they have read the TOS as a condition prior to joining then give him nothing. He was horny, got off, and now wants him money back. (And I am sure you are right about him being a student and we all now now cheap a college kid can be)!!

    Pierre,

First can you please stop posting here. Every time I see your avatar I just wanna, well never mind. Hehehe.

Second, sometimes a refund is better than a chargeback. Even though he is annoying and does not deserve one, but he may be smart enough to try it. And he may have used a friend cc or whatever.

Third, I wanna market your site, but I am not familiar with your processor (remember I have been out of the biz for a year, but been in it since 1999).

    I like your site.

As Lee said: if your Terms & Conditions (TAC) states that you do not give refunds then you do not have to - he was asked to agree to your conditions before signing-up, and he did.

Next comes the fact that most people, especially THAT type, do not want others to know he spanky his wanky, especially when it means the issue will be brought to his 'office'.

However, (here comes the crappy part) you may want to proceed with the credit, simply to save yourself the risk of a charge-back. Heck, give him a partial credit (charge what you normally do or would for a multi-day trial subscription, or divide the subscription fee by the subscription period and multiply by days accessed/'used' $30.00 for 30-days = $1/day).

Guess it all depends on how deep you want to dig the spoon in to the pinhead's chest (piss the guy off).

Whenever I get meatheads like that (that assume they can threaten me just because of their 'occupation'), I graciously honour their refund 'demand', but only AFTER, I've submitted my 'add subscriber to the negative list' (aka: blacklist) request to the nice people at Paycom, and they've processed it (more or less all requests are processed).

The best part is when they contact me back with "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME.."
    who, lil ole me?

    I like Paco's advice.

Just give them the partial refund is a lot easier and you won't get a nasty chargeback...however, if they are real jerks like this one you can also let THEM know that you are alerting Paypal and other credit agencies of their fraudulent use. :whip:

The fact that he emailed you from a .edu addy and said he is some hot shot lawyer leads me to think he is a moron. I would guess he don't even know what a chargeback is. Otherwise he would have threatened that and not a lawsuit that would be laughed out of any court is was taken to.

He's not an attorney. He's a 20 year old undergraduate at Elizabethtown College, majoring in accounting, who wants to go to law school.

I believe that it is a crime to represent oneself as an attorney when one is not. You might email back and tell him this, and also offer to provide a copy of his corrspondence to the Pennsylvania bar association, so that when he *does* go to apply for the bar, this will come up as an ethical breach against him.

Oh, and I wouldn't give him the refund. One chargeback won't hurt you, and he's apparently too stupid to realize he can do that. If he charges back, send him a threatening letter threatening to go after him for fraud, and telling him you'll forward any correspondence to the bar association.

I love bursting the bubbles of people that think they're hot shit.

BTW, my 2c, Usually I'll give a refund without question, but when they start off all shitty, I always start mine with, Hey I'm a person here! Not a computer, A person! Be Nice, and you'll get alot further in life. Here's your proof of refund and here's a list of sites you no longer have access to:

    Listing my paysites.

I often then get back a very humble thanks & apology from them.

Now lets all SPAM the fuck out of his myspace account LOL!!!!

Madame don't like it when someone messes with a tasty treat like Mister French! So I made an account and sent the knucklehead the following e mail.
    :develish:

    I wonder Aaron.

Do your Friends know what kind of sites you buy memberships to? How about all those pretty girls that think you are so funny and sexy. Do they know how much you like to look at hard throbbing dicks?

I also wonder what your Professors would think of you pretending to be an Atty?

I suppose I could forward the e-mail, with its false claims, over to the college and let them see what a knucklehead you are. Not a good thing, breaking the laws that you hope someday to uphold.

Did you really think that people who work on the net all day long, couldn't figure out who you are?

Now go on, be a good boy, and write a letter of apology to Mister French, so I won't be tempted to start making phone calls, just to teach you a Lesson.

I just don't think it's worth the time to bother with these people. Just refund his money and be done with him. Like Paco suggested, submit his name to Paycom as a potential problem to red flag.

People like this will not give up. They will make your life miserable, they will write to whomever they need to in order to get their justice. And ultimately, he'll just complain to his credit card company.

Yes, it sucks that he accessed your site for a couple of days and now wants a refund. It sucks that he used your bandwidth. But it also sucks that we have to time taxes and processing fees, it's all a part of doing business.

    Cheers
    Michael

Exactly! My motto is you get more bees with honey than vinegar. If a customer is being a fucking terd you're not getting shit. Though chargebacks cost money $15-40 plus the cost of the membership.
