    Video and Image Editing?

I am looking for a low cost fast program or programs to do the following with some of the older videos and newer images I have.

Change formats of the videos from .mpeg to .wmv

Cut the videos into lets say 3-5 minute sections

    Create image thumbnails from videos

    Add watermarks to my images

    must answer... max's question...

no! i must be strong. he doesn't appreciate or use the help i offer and actually posted that no one should listen to me. so he doesn't want my help.

but... i know this one... i know so many video programs... it's so easy...

no - i must only tell him he's a dumbass...

    max, you're a dumbass!

My new policy is to not provide useful information to him, even if I know the answer, because he will just argue with me. I'd suggest doing the same. Eventually, he'll either change or get frustrated and go away. But as long as we reinforce his poor behavior, he has no reason to stop doing it.

As for the idea of answering Max so that others who read but don't post can benefit.... well, they should start posting If someone else asks a question, gets the answer, and is appreciative, then they can benefit.

And we need not worry about Max getting any free advice from someone else's question, because he won't read more than the first 2 lines of any post anyway.

For handle videos it depends not so much to the editor you are using in view of speed, it's more important you have a larger or better two CPU's at 3.2Ghz and a lot of RAM and last but not least it's also a good idea to have a dual channel controler for your HDD's

cheapest version in the vegas family - works great and gives very professional results. watermarks, converts, splits, does some effects and editing, does vidcaps.

did i mention the free 30 day trial - only catch is no mpgs.

great splitter, fast and easy and cheap. good joiner and spiffy converter, too.

need batch vidcaps? frameshots is THE MAN! pathetically easy, does excellent work, cheap. i believe everyone who does ANYTHING with video should have this program
