    Page Reviews

I am doing some layout for my new site and was wondering if I could get some feed back, I know they do not have a header or the links at the top, and it is really raw, with out any footer as well, and I am trying to keep it simple. But let me know what ya think, I am sure I will have to change allot when my members template is done and all.

Let the nitpicking and bitching commence

Thax man, I will try to find where I even used minuets, on the page. God I hate firefox so much I can not believe that crappy browser is popular at all. It must be really hard to use that, and having to go back and use IE on about 20% of all sites. I really do not see why people even mess with it at all, but thax I will fix it with fuckedfox

Personally - until your site is ready to launch - I'd be keeping design elements to yourself. Once you're close to launch, invite a couple friends to go through and check for any link or display problems.

Play Time 24 minuets is directly below the pic./image.

Exactly what makes FireFox such a bad browser?
(Yes, I know ... I am asking for it, but because I am SO bored I decided to occupy some time.)

I did think about that Bec but this stuff is so simple “or to me it is” I have not posed lets say my update page or anything I would think people could or would take or really provided a page with a header or navigation system. If I layout every page and their is a problem with it, its a totally disaster to have to go back and redo all 10,000 of then lets say. :mental:

K thax just woke up I will fix that text, but to tell the truth most of the text is just BS even the Bios questions/statements will totally change just looking at placement and lines of text really.

OMG where should I start with Fucked Fox, I think it would be much easier to name the good things about it rather than the bad things. Just look at the difference in FF and IE, I will name just one problem with FF cuzz you asked FF has all kinds of problems reading complexes frames. Its really a piss poor browser well that is if you care about looking at sites with out having to use another browser almost daily.

Firefox is a great browser when did you start using it?

Do you surf with any other browser other then firefox and IE?

Firefox fucking rocks. Tabbed brosing alone is the biggest time saver. Add to that a very simple tweak to make surfing faster. Then add all the extensions. And then the real kicker - It's sooo much more secure than IE.

There is a reason it's gained the market share it has...

Wow it's more secure as well sweeeet!

I've noticed firefox zooms along sites that IE slows to a crawl with, particularly sites with flash.

What is the tweak to make surfing faster?

Hey Squirt - although I am somewhat positive you're reply was meant for HIM (Max), but you quoted me, so I wanted to relpy (being polite).

Agreed - Firefox is great browser (MHO is that it is the best browser for a Windows based system), and it continues to get better (visit the blog and check out the new 'features' in Alpha).
As far as I am concerned (opinion partly based on the many years of client support that I have provided), the people that tend to have problems are the 'out of the box' users - those that use software immediately after install, without ever modifying the settings (sorry for putting them in to a class).

Firefox has made browsing the net less aggravating!

I see the old debate (FF vs. IE) no different from the many others in life, such as foreign vs. domestic auto; Apple vs. PC; UnixLinux vs. Unix/Linux etc

#2). How to speed up FireFox (tested tweak)
1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

    network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

    2. Alter the entries as follows:

    Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

    Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

    Set "browser.turbo.enabled" - to "true"

    Set "network.dns.disableIPv6 - to "true"

    3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

The questions was directed at you, not Max

I agree that FF has made browsing so much easier, and clean. I wish it would become THE browser to use while staying sleek and impervious to security issues.

When did you first start using FF? Do you edit your pages in FF or just surf with it?

    Thanks again Paco :high:

    oops.

I believe it was 2001 when I acquired a version (I believe it was .4) from a PC Gamer mag CD (yah, I game) - the version or year maybe off.

I was already SO sick & tired of IE and had gone through many other browsers & MODS (NutScrape, AOL <-- eww, Opera, MYIE etc), and thought, how bad could it really be.
The few problems it had were not enough to turn me way.
Instead, I've been it's bitch ever since!

Regarding work, I still (more like have to) use all current versions of the most popular browsers (for support & testing reasons), but I ONLY browse with FieroFox!

One of the larger PC manufacturers (can't remember who) just struck a deal with them (all new PC will have FF as the default browser) and should be loosening the grip that IE has, more and more (YEE_HAH!).
