Gay Phoenix Forum Questions

Hey GWW... I'm debating if I should attend the Gay Phoenix Forum or not. I know its still several months away, but I was wondering at least... Who from these boards is planning on attending. Will this be the one big gay show to attend? Or is it so new, it might be worth sitting out? Thoughts anyone?

AJ and I have been in touch with the CCBill team that's involved in planning Gay Phoenix Forum, and I strongly believe that it will be a really outstanding show.

They are putting tremendous attention into every detail...

-- the seminars will be addressed to both newbies and experienced webmasters, with some useful and interesting topics.

-- There will be lots of opportunities for networking, including a "meeting area" where you can go if you're having an impromptu meeting and don't want to be interrupted

-- Some kickass parties (including the Cybersocket awards)

And they will be marketing heavily to encourage anyone with gay business (including straight companies with gay traffic, that sort of thing) to show up, with emphasis on webmasters that may not have ever come to a show before.

I really believe that this will be a very high quality event that everyone should make best effort to attend. We are definitely looking forward to it!!

Hi Goldie... definitely looking into going... Tried to go last year to the Phoenix Forum but got sick the weekend before - Allergy Ear Infection... Since it'll be in October I should be fine. I will definitely be keeping in touch to see how this progresses for me.

If the Gay Phoenix Forum is going to be even half as good as the Phoenix Forum then it will be well worth the trip. The folks at CCBill always do an amazing event. I'll be there for sure.

Do you all expect to get a lot of business done there, or will it be more for meeting/socializing... I'm just asking because I've never really been to one of these. I was at Internext 2005 in Vegas, but that was the only show I attended... How would it comare to a show like that? (since it is new, I realize you might not know also.)

We will be looking to do business. I mean, it will be great to socialize and spend some decent face time with all of our friends, affiliates, and others we do business with, but I really hope and expect to be able to do some good business at the show.

I think it depends on the type of business you run. I know people that do a ton of business every year at the Phoenix show. As a content provider I don't expect someone to give me a check at the show for content they haven't seen, but it's a big deal for me to get around and meet people I may have never talked to before to introduce them to our site and give them a business card. Plus, it's a big deal for me to meet my regular clients face to face and make sure they know they can always call on me regardless if they are getting $2000 worth of content or a few filler sets.

Getting to hang out with friends is just an added bonus. Plus, nobody does serious business after 10, so you work all day, and party all night. You can sleep when you go home. LOL!

This is definitely an event all of us here at CorbinFisher.com are thrilled about.

In fact, when we first got wind it was going to take place we jumped at the opportunity to sponsor, as did many other companies. I think CCBill/DRMNetworks have established their ability to put on a great event with the Phoenix Forums, and so only good things can be expected from this targeted "spin off".

And everywhere I turn, on this board and others, I see companies eagerly signing up to attend and looking forward to the event as well. So we already have wonderful organizers in CCBill and their network of companies, plenty of eager attendees set to go... if it was in Vegas I'd bet money on it being a great show... and am thankful it's not in Vegas! hehe

I attended my first Phoenix Forum this year and I've been to several Internext shows. The 2nd day into the Forum and I made a decision to stop wasting money on Internext (those hotel rooms are horrendously expensive in Vegas that particular week) since I found the Forum not only more enjoyable, but way more productive in terms of getting quality time with all the people I work with in this business (or want to work with).
