Owner of CashTitans Arrested, Charged with Obscenity, Racketeering

PENSCOLA, Fla. - Adult-site owner Clinton Raymond McCowen, also known as Ray Guhn, and Kevin Patrick Stevens have been arrested, culminating an investigation into an operation involving hundreds of adult films featuring up to 100 local men and women, Florida authorities announced Saturday.

McCowen is the owner and operator of Cashtitans.com, run by Ray Guhn Productions. The six-year-old affiliate program is home to such sites as CumOnHerFace.com, HotRikki.com, BustyTramps.com, and LesbianHangout.com.

Escambia County Sheriff Ron McNesby and State Attorney Bill Eddins said the men are believed to be at the heart of the operation that revolved around a website with as many as 5,000 registered subscribers who, for $30 a month, can view pornographic films featuring group sex, reported the Pensacola News Journal. The same authorities allege films were made at four houses in Pensacola, as well as hotels in nearby counties.

The men were charged with racketeering, conducting a criminal enterprise by engaging in prostitution, and the manufacture and sale of obscene material and were released after posting bond. Racketeering carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

McCowen and his associates, who used the name Global Technologies Inc., generated more than $1 million a year in sales to Internet customers, according to an arrest affidavit.

McCowen and his associate recruited and paid men and women up to $1,000 to appear in the videos. An undercover officer was told the group had been filming in the area for about five years, the report said.

The investigation was prompted by local residents who complained about the local advertising of the films and the recruiting of local models and actors for the films.

Authorities said more arrests were expected. "

Well sounds like that Sheriff is looking to get reelected this November. And that some neighbors were offended that such practices were transiring in their backyard. (NIMBY strikes again)

I would think proving that he was engaging in a prostitution business would be a pretty tall order, as well as selling that to a jury. Eliminating that would probably eliminate the racketeering charge.

I would assume he'd find good counsel.

There are only two states in the USA where it is legal to pay models to appear in adult performances, California and New York. Both states have had test cases run through their state court systems, and both have said it is legal.

Since this is a State and not a Federal issue, you are subject to each states individual laws concerning prostitution and pandering.

If you shoot adult content in any state other then CA and NY are you opening yourself up to potential state charges. It all comes down to, do you want to be the test case?

All it takes is a pissed off model, neighbor, or business associate to turn you in to the lcoal authorities. From what I hear this is what happened in this case. A former model turned them in to local authorities, and neighbors where also complaining.

Thats not even half of the story.. These guys, from what i understand (and i could be wrong on my assumption) were about as stupid as can be.

Not only were they shooting 'porn' but, they were alledgedly arranging 'sex parties' where they paid the women BEFORE letting them appear in any production, in effect, hiring people and just paying them to be gang-banged as their 'audition', A.K.A prostitution.

Only after the sex party was over were they actually hiring some of these people as 'models'.

Just seems like a really expensive way to get laid to me LOL

Lets also not forget the Max Hardcore raid a few months ago, same type of content.. Extreme bukakke/group cumshot.
