    Good Traffic Stats Utility?

I'm interested in looking for a good traffic stats utility, particularly something with good referral URL/SE keyword logging. What I have running doesn't quite give me enough useful info.

It doesn't have to be a subscription service (preferrably not), I just want to be able to see/manage incoming traffic better. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've been using Web Log Expert and I'm happy with it. It only gives the top 50 referrers, which may not be enough for you. I never ever really had a lot of free time to pour over log reports, so it sufficed for me. But I'm looking forward to seeing what other people are using.

    Cheers,
    Michael

Have you tried Awstats yet? I usually twist Luke's arm and have him put it on my domains when he sets up a name for me.

We use tracewatch http://www.tracewatch.com I believe someone on here put us on to it (thanks whoever that was). It's great at monitoring search engine traffic and keywords etc.

I am fairly certain you'll like Unified Stats (not a ref)
    Psst ... it's FREE!
    Check it out.

    Regarding StatsRemote:
We paid for a few single-user subscription, to StatsRemote (SR), for a couple of years (no idea why).
I was asked to install it (I'm the beta monkey), so I did. I believe during the first day of use I was forced to contact the support staff due to the amount of problems I experienced. I more or less used it for ONE month before I removed it. Others here were a little more patient than I.

Talk about a HUGE resource :jasun: !

    I concur.

AWStats gives me more than enough information to figure out whats happening on any domain we own as a company and more.

Ive asked for AWStats on all 4 hosting companies we have used without fail to me, its a MUST.

    Regards,

    Lee

For awhile there I thought I was mentioning the wrong sort of program! Just a heads up for newbies lurking in the shadows, the Stats Remote and Unified Stats are programs to help you centralize your Sponsor Stats so you aren't logging to a gazillion sponsor sites to see your affiliate sales reports. :penny:

hey skot do you actually find yourself doing anything with all that amazing data urchin gives u? like its pretty and all, but I never found any use for it..

On the other hand we directly use data from tracewatch to tweak everything from tgps to SEO on a daily basis and we would literally be lost without it.

    how about webalizer?
    http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/

not the most detailed stats on the block, but your host can configure them to meet your needs. they show:

    countries
    top urls
    referring urls
    browsers used
    search terms
    search engines
    top entry pages
    top exit pages
    files using the most bandwidth
    registered users (members)
    how many logins for each
    how many files downloaded
    how much bandwidth used

and a whole bunch more useful info.

I've been playing with Trace Watch over the last day (it was easy to setup too). Seems to have helped out already. Pretty nice program.
