    Google traffic drop

Did anyone else notice a drop in traffic from google? I noticed a major drop since yesterday at about 4pm. I can't figure out what would cause it. All other traffic from yahoo is unchanged. Did they do a update?

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Google traffic has actually dropped for a lot of sites over the past couple of months.

Some places where im currently buying ad spots have literally had a 50% or more decrease in traffic since the start of the month and, sales are suffering from these ad buys because of it.

Take a look at some of the more popular search terms and see which sites that had top 10 listings, no longer appear in the first 30-40 SERPs.

Something is definately up in the Google traffic camp.

Its just another reason why webmasters shouldnt concentrate on a single source of traffic for their revenues a lot of people who concentrated highly on Google traffic are now finding that out, the hard way

    Regards,

I just ran some tests and conclude that nothing has changed with Google.

Don't forget that every day is a new event in Search Engine Organization. The universe is expanding, more websites start, and more pages get indexed. Reiterations of pages get reindexed. So when you get your page into Google, you will be competing in the changing marketplace like standing on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, holding up your little card in the massive din. One day you might be worth 40, and the next day just 38.

I was number one in Google for Johnny Hazzard for several years. Then.... (Darth Vader music starting)....... along came his blog. That blew my listing out of the water. How could I be more relevent then the actual pornstar's own extremely popular blog on Google?

If your position drops, consider seeking out less competitive keywords. For example I just gave up on the term fiestaware. But lilac fiestaware was easy schmeezy.... and collectors all know what that is.

There are a ton of sites being indexed for certain keywords.......... one of my terms has 8 million extra results suddenly.

Im sure most will be filtered back out........... maybe a mini update.

The last update has been pretty fucking weird for me too ... I disapeared totally from a lot of revelant keywords and appeared in ones that I could care less about.

That is what happen to me. Most of the keywords that I was going very well of for over two years I no longer even show up for. There are still some keyword combinations that I'm at the top but the ones that really count are gone. I know I wasn't banned but I do this my site was penalized to see that large of a traffic drop. I just hope they update again soon and get things back to normal.
