Where are the gayest friendliest places in the world?

I'm just day dreaming about traveling and wonder where the gay friendly travel places are.
Ive been to canada which fucking Rocks! And Amsterdam was awesome too.
I Know Ive always wanted to go to Spain and thats pretty gay friendly.
I want to go to Italy, even though its not very gay friendly (I think a guy got his drivers license taken away because he's gay) I want to see the history and the food.

where else? Where have you guys been that was a blast?

Sydney typically wins all contests for the gayest city on Earth.

I've never seen anything really to disparage that commendation.

i like cruises ( a.k.a cities at sea ) there are so many people and so many activities/events/etc. , everyone is there to have a good time. ( interpreted: nothing comes closer to heaven than sitting in a deck chair watching the sunset! )

Italy is VERY GAY...nobody makes a big deal about it...because the men are all "straight" - they just hang with the guys in the T-rooms and dark alleys - just like Greece, also very cool

Living in Australia the last 4 years I can tell you Sydney is very Gay friendly :king:

BUT Australia as a whole is very homophobic and Gay bashings are the norm and the typical Gay stereotypes apply to most here... hairdresser, drag queen, theatre etc. and while Sydney is a haven for those in our community.

Things are starting to change. The latest season of Big Brother is a good example.. Gay housemate David, who is a cowboy and a farmer :3ymca: , is ticketed to win the series and of course when intruders were let into the house they included a "typical" Gay aussie stereotype - an infeminant hairdresser with over plucked eyebrows.

Also don't forget as far as living in Australia they are a very xenophobic society.... so Gay or not, being a foreigner means sticking with your own kind ( other foreigners ), as assumptions are made when you speak with an accent. Instead of being a person you're considered a Yank, wog, Kiwi, etc. There's even a popular commercial out now denoting a girl as having "Yanki ho blue eyeshadow"

Suprised nobody mentioned San Francisco - or is it because its too obvious?

If you see a cute guy in SF, chances are that he is gay
