Do You Find Yourself Getting Tired A Lot?

Well, the quack just told me that its because im not getting enough Vitamin C in my diet

Needless to say, we're heading out in a little while to get some orange juice which im going to start having a glass of each day.

I was actually really suprised though to be honest because i was certain that he would end up prescribing me some wonder drug to keep me awake, i guess all doctors arent motivated by selling prescription drugs after all

    Regards,

    Lee

    well

I have been drinking smoothies a lot and taking wheat grass shots. I love that stuff. Everyone else hates it for some reason. I guess it does taste like your front lawn .

I am always tired. I don't blame the lack of orange juice though, I think it's just having two young boys to care for, bless them.

Since I was 24 I have made it a habit to just eat fruit in the mornings. Obviously, there's lots of exceptions especially when travelling. But for me it has been the best possible way for me to keep lots of vitamins in my diet without having to always think about it. I returned home yesterday from being on the road for 6 days, and this morning I thoroughly enjoyed juicing three rings of pineapple, two oranges and a handfull of strawberries.

In my juicer, it made about a pint and a half of juice, which your doctor would call an abundant torrent of vitamin C.

Actually oranges are just okay, but not really your best sources of vitamin C. (of course the Orange Farmers Lobby would have you believe otherwise, like the Milk Producers Lobby on the amount of calcium in milk)

If you really want to absorb vitamin C in good quantities, eat strawberries. More broadly, most any kinds of berries have lots, and just as much or more than oranges. And you can just wash some strawberries and eat them without a big hassle of preparation. Summertime is good for fresh oranges, pineapple, melons and berries, but you'll find that in the winter months they are not in season. In Winter, switch to grapefruit, which also have more vitamin C in them than oranges.

Another benefit to that is that you are switching up your diet, which in the long run means you'll follow it more successfully. Who wants to eat the same kind of food every day of their life?

On grapefruit, hopefully there in Florida you can buy Texas grapefruit in the Winter. They are much sweeter than California grapefruit, which are pale pink in color and so sour you'll want to reach for the sugar (don't!).

If your mainstream grocery store doesn't have them, check Whole Foods. They should be pretty cheap too, nothing exotic. All fresh produce and fruit should have a label on them that essentially brands them.

i'm tired a lot, but i suspect that getting more sleep would be more effective than drinking more juice. 5 hours per night just doesn't cut it

Diet (and lack of sleep) aside folks...

There is no doubt that this summer's heat wave is doing us all harm.

No matter what temp your living and working in... the fact that the US is under a blanket of oppressive heat is no doubt, the reason for (heat) exhaustion.

After all, our bodies are better "heaters" than air conditioners.

Lots of water, more water and plenty of it works best for all of us.

...a health tip from Dr. Daddy D

Stress from work can really drain you down. The doctor adviced me to have a sleep for at least 7 hours a day, with matching 3-times a day meal supported with food supplements and vitamins. Still I'm tired after 10 hours of work

try more protien in the mornings as well...

if its not the diet, stress or not getting enough sleep, you might want to have some tests done

it could be a problem with your metabolism, sleep apnea or a chronic sickness - but hopefully its not and its just the damn heat :sun:

I don’t really know if I get tired that often, I am on so much caffeine from the very start of my day “8 pills and like 5 cups of coffee” its hard to tell, but I do go though about 4-6 aspirins a day too.
