We are in the mist of launching the gay version of braincash.

And in my silly or naive lil french boi mind i thought it be nice to give part of the profits generated with sales towards aids awareness or Aids Fundation. And I also wanted to make sure to provide surfers with all the necessary information on our sites since we would have some bareback sites..

And Then HELL started.

1st That BitChy Jewish 2oo yrs old c""tfrom Aids Youth basicly told me that God No They Couldnt Accept Sex money.. that it is dirty money and they much rather take money from a cie that encourages child labour.

So that brought me to think ... Is that the reason why aids still kills too too many of us

WOW I can relate to this!

I was working directly with a non profit in the Philippines that a very good friend is involved with. I was footing the bill for housing and food for the needy in a small village and puting 10 kids through school. I went and visited my friend, and the village, to see how building was coming along. Then, after getting back got an email from the guy in charge, who is an American pasture married to a Filipino who used to be a prostitute. He told me they could no longer work with me because after getting my last email he was curious was my domain was, checked it out, and was shocked to see it was adult related.

Now 10 kids are out of school. I don't think they'd care that I worked in a legal business but the prideful pasture would rather sacrifice the childrens education then take money from an erotic business.

This has happened twice now. I'm done. At some point in the future I could just as well start my own non profit. I can't help but to think some of these people in charity work get off on the power and feeling above those they help.

This is disgracefull. They are turning down good money on behalf of people who seriously need it, without even consulting those people. Personally id just make the donation privately to charities of your choice. No need to mention the porno. Your good people for wanting to help.

I had the same problem here with the local gay community center. I tried to be a sponsor their major labor day event, they accepted and cashed the check, a board member checked out my site and freaked, I received a refund check.

All of my non-adult related mail comes from a domain that has no ties to adult. That way it just saves the hassle of people snooping around and making judgements. That's the simplest solution. Of course, AJ and I also have our fingers in several other pies that are non-adult related and having those business pursuits is sometimes useful if someone asks and we don't feel like explaining the whole adult thing.

I own two hosting companies and from back in the late 90s till 2002 we had always charged a setup fee for new accounts - 50% of this money was donated to an aids charity whos name I wont mention, but they discovered we also host porn sites and when the first check was returned with no note I didnt take notice I simply reissued a new check the next month with even more money - that check came back also with a short note stating that they could not accept our donations any longer because our companies also host sites that are pornographic in nature....
So that was the end of our setup fees - I stopped donating on a regular basis I guess they only want money from white anglo christians that live in the the half of the usa designated now as Jesusland....
I only hope those people keep donating cause aids isnt going away tomorrow!

Yes, unfortunately there are a lot of Mac Woods out there. People who run non profilts have to be accountable to a board of directors, which is an entire collection of new opinons searching to justify their board salaries. If you were a politician would you pause before receiving checks from tobacco companies or casinos? It is not just taking tainted money, it is the perception of taking tainted money by others, and I think that's where problems arise.

The groups that I donate my money too are mostly local to me ... our new museum here in town, performing arts center, etc. Just give it in your name rather than as a business.

You can also give charitable gifts anonymously.

PS... I serve on a board of a non-profit orginization. We are all volunteers, no one gets paid monies to donate time and energy. We help people who suffer from terminal illness during the 6 months min it takes for people to get disability and social security.. people who can't work, but need money to pay the rent, utilities.. etc..
