ARRRGGGH - CCBILL is getting on my nerves

I am trying to sign up to some new sponsors this morning, and the ones using CCBill all have that stupid banned countries filter on, which means I can't join.

Countries like Iran (where there are many adult webmasters I'm sure) and Iraq, Mozambique, Tajikistan and places I've never even heard of like Nauru, Kiribati and Mayotte and every tiny island in the ocean - they're all fine. But Israel? no way...

Indeed and, i beleive the only country that im currently banning on Condom Cash is North Korea.

In Iran, from what i understand (in addition to many other Muslim faith based countries) pornography is illegal and, in some instances, punishable by death.

A lot of these countries also block access to sites that their governments deem unsuitable for their citizens.

I have been told by program owners that I contacted that they have no control over which countries are banned. They can just switch the banned countries off or on, as a group, without having any say over which countries are on the list. I can see why they would want to somehow protect themselves from scammers, but I wish it was something like having them manually approve webmasters from those countries, or, alternatively being able to choose which countries to have on the list. I think having Israel on the list is unfair, myself. From what I've heard, it doesn't even have to do with having too many scammers here :hmmph: it's something to do with our credit rules, or some other legal thing.

Lee, I know about Iran, which is why I mentioned it there. It struck me as funny that a fundemantelist country where porn is illegal and you can get hanged for distributing porn can be on the list...

Lee, I don't see a way to choose which countries to ban. I only see a way to block all banned countries. Can you do a step-by-step and show us how to allow only specific countries?

Contact your rep, thats what i did and had him set it up

You can also block users from those countries using .htaccess in addition to stopping surfers from those countries accessing the sites by removing their country line in the join page drop down box

We block access based on ccbill's recommended settings. However, if anyone has a problem signing up as an affiliate and contacts us, we will allow them. Otherwise its just too risky (I have had my fair share of scammer affiliates).

Hunk Money was actually one of the programs I tried signing up for. I just had too many programs telling me they don't know how to allow a webmaster from one banned country in without lifting the filter. I got tired of contacting program owners.
