Firefox Bookmark Frustration

I have a file of TGP bookmarks in my Firefox Bookmarks, I keep sorting the folder by name, but there are a few that just seem to resist being sorted.

When I go to Manage Bookmarks, they're showing sorted, but when I got to the Bookmarked folder to click a bookmark, those renegade few are still out of order.

Any thoughts?

Hmm, must admit that I've never experienced an issues as such.

The only thing I can think of is, make sure the names of those troublemakers are in order (no extra characters in front, such as spaces), because that is what your bookmark (BM) drop-down menu lists (the names, not the URLs).

I always edit the name, while bookmarking (upper case, always).

If that does not work, and before you go do something terrible ... like have a smoke, you may want to number the BMs (place the number plus one space just before the name) in the order you want them to appear ?

a person's gotta do what a person's gotta do. So, when things do not work properly (and you need certain results), one must adjust or evolve.
Or, one can always regress to InternuttExploited.

I finally figured it out. It seems that "sort by name" through "manage bookmarks" only does half the job. I finally did this: when I click on bookmarks and navigate down to the folder I'm interested in, I then again right-click there and "sort by name" and that finishes it off. It's like a double-opt in.

Crazy! I use avant browser and it fetches and interchanges bookmarks with IE and I dont have to worry about sorting each out.

I remember the pic you're talking about. Yeah, that was me and Jasun on that little creature stuck to the big spring. I'll have to see if I can find that pic again. That was a good one. LOL!
