You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?
Do You Think This Is A Good Business Move For PlayBoy?
CHICAGO - Playboy Enterprises is launching its own branded online poker Web site, making it the company’s first effort into online gaming.
The launch comes following a deal the company struck with Toronto-based WagerLogic Limited, a unit of CryptoLogic Inc. which will provide the software for the site.
Playboy had already signed a similar deal with the company on May 10 when it launched the Playboy Casino site.
“Whether it’s on TV, in print or online, Playboy is one of the World’s premier entertainment brands and CryptoLogic’s poker software can take it to new people and places,” said Lewis Rose, CrypoLogic’s CEO and president.
Playboy said it plans to market the new poker site worldwide, except in the United States where online gambling is illegal.
Meanwhile, the company is preparing to discuss its latest quarterly financials during a conference call next Tuesday at 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Given all the recent fuss about online gambling in the United States, do you think it is a good idea for a company such as PlayBoy to enter this realm?
Im also interested in seeing how they avoid marketing this new casino to surfers via affiliates from GFY.

Lee

On the other hand.... You have different fingers
Personally, if I were them, I wouldn't even think about it with the shit that recently came down.
However, one has to assume they have a bevy of top-shelf attorneys and have a good idea what they're doing... so ya never know. Or perhaps they were so far into it when the busts happened a couple weeks ago they didn't feel they could pull the plug.

Playboy is such a powerhouse that I'm sure this new venture work out great for them - I mean, they're not idiots right?

they'll be fine....
and it seems more of a liscencing deal with assistance in marketing, rather than a big business venture
if there aren't customers in the US and it isn't being run in a US territory, I would think they would be fine :juggle:
