    Billing Processors.....

So with IBill having done a crash and burn, they transferred all of their
billing clients without choice to a company called Etelegate.

We started receiving "compliance" emails from etelegate informing us that until we gave them all the required documents for setting up an account with them... (business information, owner information, estimated billing amounts, etc) AND set up the button coding for our sites to process new Etelegate signups, they were going to withhold any and all payments to us.

We called them, we gave them the "required" documents for setting up a new account with them, and then we waited. Our funds were still not released. We called them again and were told that because we had not integrated the buttons on our site to start accepting customers, that we were not completely setup with them and they were not releasing funds until we were. We advised them that we had no plans to process any new customers with any company that has, or had anything to do with IBill.
We were advised that they would "get back to us". They advised us to keep calling back to get a "status". We called several times and finally we were told that since a number of webmasters from IBill had told them the same thing, they were going to have to draft another "rebilling only" contract and that once that was ready they would inform us. And they were not going to release our funds until that contract was signed. We were instructed to call back in 48 hours. We called back in 48 hours and were told to call back this week. We called back this week to be told that the document had been prepared, but the legal department would not release it until they approved it. When asked when it would be approved, we were told that there was no time frame, that it would be approved when it is approved and that Etelegate would send out a notice to webmasters when it was approved.

Are they going to release our funds? NO, not until this, yet another, contract is signed and delivered to them, and then not until their next scheduled payment period.

When will that be? Seems to be anyone's guess at this point.

This really sucks Tombarr sorry to hear you're having to deal with this shit.

It's hard enough to run a successful business in any industry, let alone one where you're funds can be held without question at any time for any reason a processor sees fit. :snake:

I told the supervisor of the customer service department that they were very much acting irresponsibly and very dangerously and that they were likely to invite civil suits for the monies owed if they dragged their feet much longer.

    Their response? Uh, huh.

If I remember, somebody (might have been you, tom... can't remember) researched and the company (etelegate) isn't even a legal entity in the UK or wherever they are based... their corporate entity lapsed, and their operating address is the equivalent of a Mailboxes, Etc store. So if that's still the case, they probably aren't at all concerned about being sued, since it's unlikely anyone could actually find them.

Now watch... next, Etelegate will sell its processing services to OrangeBill or one of those winners
