It Feels Like Its '96 Again

Im noticing a lot more of the straight owned companies are starting to hire gay individuals to promote their gay site offerings.

Over the last few months ive been contacted by several companies asking if i would be interested in helping them grow their gay traffic levels but, when we spoke about the details, the same problems occured in the conversations as what happened back in '96.. They didnt want to spend money actively targeting gay marketers outside of 'board whoring'

On the plus side, it does show that a lot of companies are now starting to realize the potential in the gay market place to make a lot of money my only concern is that they are going to end up turning the gay surfer off joining sites like they have done to straight surfers.

So what do you folks think about this, have we come full circle in the industry or, has the straight market place become so over-saturated that a lot of these companies are looking at gay traffic as a means to off-set the money they are losing on their straight site offerings?

    Regards,

    Lee

you only think this is happening soley with gay. i've been approached by a number of programs wanting traffic for str8 sites without wanting to spend money, time or effort.

i think for some people, it will ALWAYS be 1996

dont want to sound like an ass, but I think allot of it too is that gay is just more accepted. They check porn, go to dating sites & chat just like any straight person.. I think before it was just more "frowned upon* people are more open and others are more willing to adjust their robotic programming on the issues...

This seems to happen every year about this time, maybe its the summer slowdown and the larger companies realise they should be a bit more active in their gay sites.
