Gay webmaster jailed on CP charges - someone most of us know

Most of you probably remember Dawgy - (Dale Beckham) everyones friend and someone we would have never guessed would do us wrong? Well turns out he's been doing little boys wrong and also had quite a few images of boys on his computer. He's been in jail in Canada since March, and will now serve no less then 5 years, and up to 20 years, in U.S. prison.

Be careful who you do business with people because by association you'll become suspect.

Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law or downloading child porn to your computer, or promoting child porn as an affiliate, whether you know it or not. Check out who you are promoting and doing business with. Protect yourself, and your business.

I am so glad we have a system that gets these assholes and gets them good. The more sneaky child porn bastards behind bars the better this world is.

WOODLANDS MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO TRANSPORTATION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

HOUSTON, TX – Dale Eric Beckham, 33, pleaded guilty before United States District Judge Melinda Harmon on Friday, July 7, 2006, to transportation of child pornography.

Beckham was arrested March 6, 2005, in Ottawa, Canada, and initially charged with luring a 14-year-old boy he met over the Internet to a hotel room, where they had sex. Beckham traveled from his Woodlands area home to Ottawa with a laptop computer and a digital camera, which were seized upon his arrest by Canadian officers for luring and pornography charges. Beckham pleaded guilty to Canadian charges involving the possession of child pornography images and was sentenced in November 2005 to time served since his March 6, 2005, arrest. Thereafter, the Canadian government deported Beckham and banned him from returning to Canada for one year.

The defendant has been in federal custody without bond since his arrest November 24, 2005, upon his return to the Houston area from Canada. After a search of Beckham’s home in the Woodlands on March 11, 2005, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials found hundreds of images of child pornography on his computers, including pictures of children younger than 12 years of age engaged in sexual activity with adults.

At sentencing, scheduled for October 27, 2006, Beckham faces is no less than five (5) years and up to 20 years imprisonment, as well as a $250,000 fine, $100 special assessment and any term of years up to life of supervised release.

He's going to do some hard time that's for sure. From what was posted previously, when this all first came out, hadn't he made trips to Canada for stuff like this before? This was just the first time he got caught right? I wouldn't doubt if the material on his computer was his own material from what previous articles stated. He was also filming sex with that 14 year old.

Well we never really know, nor can control, who we're posting with unless we don't post at all but we do need to be cautious about who we're working with.

You don't know a models age unless you see the ID in your hand, and even then it could be a fake. If someone looks iffy on an affiliates site, even if you see an electronic copy of the ID, follow your gut. It's your ass that can be landed in jail for YEARS, nobody elses. It's important to really trust the people you work with, and I don't mean stupid trust, I mean knowledgable informed trust.

Unfortunately, most of the time when warnings about things like this get posted, its used against the people that post it as 'drama'....

What gets me is threads saying that we are obsessed with CP and on a witch hunt because of posts informing people of what's going on, that's simply not true.

Being in this business and having a child pornographer crawl out of the woodwork is not the same as being in a community and a child molester being discovered.

This is business and any relation to a child pornographer makes you suspect even if you've done nothing wrong. The process of having your life turned upside down while being investigated is probably not something you want to go through.

Being informed, and informing others, is a good thing and is quite different then being paranoid.

Don’t get me started on this, I can only hope people can make up their own minds about what is going on from time to time. Yes people should know and be warned if their is real proof, but it should not be used a marketing strategy, or just as a blank accusation with out any real proof. Like most things this has been made a Gray area by some.

It's important to remember that often times when you have proof online, and post it, the proof magically disapears, photos are taken off or redirected, domains are forwarded, and hosts are changed. This is how tracks are covered. If you have proof and do screencaps to show as evidence and post online, then you end up technically publishing CP. Are you beginning to see how this works?

This is how tracks are covered. If you have proof and do screencaps to show as evidence and post online, then you end up technically publishing CP. Are you beginning to see how this works?

See again I don’t know about all that man, if people are talking about it already online then might as well offer a URL with the proof or something to back it up rather than "I suspect so and so” or “could be one of my competitors is doing so and so” After you talk about it in a public forum you are tipping them off so they could just take it down, might as well back up what you say in this area especially with FACT not conjecture.

I think some people in our business do this with extremely risky, if not illegal, content. They say they can't tell age very well. Say the person they bought it from, or are promoting it for, has ID's. Then the person they bought it from says they bought it from a content store. When you goto the content store it's not on the site. Then you are told the content isn't on the site because it was exclusive. Then you call the person you know at the content site and they say they've never seen that content nor would they ever shoot such content.

It's all made to be a gray area where the person publishing isn't responsible for reason A, B, C, etc. and if you hadn't taken the time to check out who wants you to work with them, then you would have had no idea what you were getting yourself into, now would you?

I already have these skills. My posting about them is to teach baord members how to protect themselves.

Yes the "Guess how old he looks to me game" is a game that has no place in the legitimate adult entertainment business and "innocent mistakes" regarding age of models, paperwork, and ID's can, and has, put people behind bars.

Yes I guess you could do that. While they're advertising for affiliates and link trades or trying to sell content, just keep quiet, report it and feel sorry for people replying to their posts not really knowing what they're getting into.

It would be nice to hear the other side of the story. Someone here that is friends with him should have him write a letter for posting on his behalf once he gets settled into his new home.

A part of me would like to think this is a witch hunt on the part of US authorities for doing something perfectly legal in Canada that is considered incredibly illegal here in the US.

The CP on his home computer, how much of it was legal twink porn and TGP thumbnails in his temp internet files of shaven 18+ twinks? I've heard of people being tried for CP based only on thumbs, so who knows what could be going on here.

Also interesting that none of the news stories mention that he worked in porn. That is something you would think these writers would include for the added shock value. They must not be aware. Is someone trying to hide that the "CP" on his computer may have actually been adults?
