From what i gather with my work, the companies dont know why. At work they get a yes or no. Thats all. Were actually forbidden to say lack of funds. It can be as simple as a bank security check (bank wants them to call) or that they got the expiry date wrong.
We know the exact reason why a transaction gets declined, I evaluate our declines regularly, matter of fact. We may not disclose the reason, because we don’t want any fraud or policy review information getting into the wrong hands (we don’t want to tell people the reason(s) why they did not get accepted into ccbill, because they may adjust their methods accordingly). This is actually a very common and prudent practice.
Actually that shouldnt surprose me, npower dont even tell us stuff they release to customers. we have to wait for the call que to go crazy
