Hi everybody! I just looked at my old posts and thought that it's been waaay too long since I've said anything useful (or anything stupid, for that matter :vanish: ) Gotta keep my day-job. Anyway, since I've been bugging you with silly questions for years now, thought I'd show you what I've been up to (and I'll use the chance to ask some more stoopid questions.) Here's where my stuff landed:

from there you can navegate around to the other 8 stores (this one #9: http://www.clips4sale.com/store/4217 is kinda hidden). I know it's like not a "real" website, but I think it's cool (particularly since I'm not god's own programmer or anything). I am way happy with the financial side, though, and I've only been there for 4 months.

Now for the questions:

I think the videos are well-placed on the platform. In your opinion (as profi pornographers /esses) would it make sense or be better to try and market the material with an own homepage? I'm not really sure. I mean I read all the time how everybody is fighting for traffic and my content is unusual (you can get an impression from the pix).

Can anybody suggest how I can get traffic to my store in the form that it now has? I have some listings in directories like MOTN and I'm swimming in the sextracker spam-lists, too. It has had a positive effect. I don't think that TGP, for ex, would be good for me.

Any useful input would be appreciated. (Maybe I can quit my day-job then :luke: ) Thanx again for ur time.

In many ways, your traffic/advertising would be some of the same techniques used to drive customers to an AVS site.

See all the banners? Either they own those other sites and/or they've traded links with them. Basically these are called recips or reciprocal links.

There are a lot of linklists, directories and toplist sites you can register your site at, and all they ask is for a text link or banner linked back to their site. Don't forget to list your site at various adult search engines.

I don't see why you couldn't try submitting a tgp gallery here and there promoting the movies. Just do a movie style tgp layout, put on like 6- 15 second clips (should be from same shoot) and link all exit links off it to whichever store has that clip.

And have you looked into brokering your content through a content supplier?

hey, thx for your post. Lol, just this evening I had seen the store you linked and thought "what trash" and than read your post. Sorry, maybe you get more traffic with the link list/tgp system, but i don't like those kinds of sites. BTW, that store hasn't sold anything. The statistics i know say that if that kind of traffic produces a turn over of 1.5% it's a lot. Everything i read about quality traffic says that the relation between the visitors and the paying customers is the important thing, especially for amateur stuff. But could be it's the right marketing for big players or the porn industry.

What you thing about marketing via Netster? Is it better to wait for google or yahoo to catch me, or could it be interesting to pay for Netster advertising?

if you like google traffic - and who doesn't? - why not pay for advertising through google adwords?
