Just got this message today... have no clue how I got signed up for this...

And then when we check Your signup we will send You URL with login info to Your email address.

I would though record the email adresses and inform ASACP (or whatever it is called) since they promote CP and SPAM to your mailbox - both is illegal.

I got exactly the same email!

Looks to me that some sponsor or their employees seems to be selling the email address.

Ive gotten a bunch of these over the last few days although I delete without even opening them. Seems to come in waves every few months i get a few days of massive cp spam.

You know what sucks, is that if a well known banker embezzles millions of dollars the media and the govt don't act like all bankers are crooks. Of all the heads of companies that have done crooked business, nobody ever says that all business owners should not be trusted. But these assholes who sell cp are the ones who make it bad for the rest of us, even though we do not support them in any way and do not even consider them to be part of our industry. Grrrr. :shit:

Ignore that, guys.. it's just a phishing scam.

It happened once a year or so ago that a company wanted to commit industrial sobatage and sent hundreds of thousands of email saying "You have been signed up for the sweetest young things aged 6-9 in hot hardcore fucking" or something like that..

And included a telephone number to opt out.

Needless to say, they had about a quarter of a milion dollars in toll-free calls to pay for from people calling them every name in the book.

Horrifying.

Actually it may not be.

I seem to recall a year or two back one of the major programs had some issues with a suspected child pornographer using them as the primary biller for access to a CP site.

A surfer would join one of the programs sites, send the owner of the real CP site their login information and be given the details of where they could login to the CP site.

It was publicized quite well by ASACP i beleive at the time that as program owners, we need to be vigilant about an excess of sales that come from affiliates with no referring urls and that cancel within 24 hours, en mass.

Some of the methods these CP promoters use are really ingenious and im sure they have found new methods of dodging the actual 'processing' for their sites in the past few years in addition to that one.
