Straight vs. Gay - is Gay really harder?

Hi,

i talked to a newbe in the straight webmaster world and was amazed by how much he already makes of AdultFriendFinder and some webcam portal

Is the straight adult world easier to harvest than the gay side of life? If so - why?

simple - the straight world has tons more traffic.

also there are MORE traffic sources like green guy, persian kitty and thehun. you actually CAN market gay on those sites, but most people here don't. the link lists send good traffic and it's not the same sources we keep chasing.

thehun sends out up to 100,000 hits to straight galleries in ONE day but only max 15,000 to day. still not bad - there is no gay tgp i know of that comes even close. when we were doing nude or sex galleries, we did good sales from thehun, al4a and all the other huge traffic straight sites with gay categories. always did really good there and - surprisingly since the galleries are only listed by category - we made good sales from shemp, as well.

It's important to note that the Gay community has been using Cams for years, where this seems to be a new trend in the straight community, and the straight community has most all the traffic :cash:

Selling cams to gay surfers is not hard -- I get a lot more straight traffic than gay, but similar income. So that means more gay surfers are buying and spending.

Yeah, I checked my TheHun approval from this month and got 20,000 hits on the first day for a gay gallery. I REALLY like getting listings on the big straight TGP's/Link Lists as I get a lot of traffic from one listing AND I get all those bi-curious surfers who aren't jaded by constantly looking at free gay porn!

i started a 'babelog' and a 'hunklog' the babelog being the obvious thing for a straight webmaster to try...seemed like everyone was doing it, an obvious money maker.. but although it's good for traffic it's kinda shit for sales if I'm honest. The hunklog...my first time plugging anything gay is selling pretty well..that's why I wanna learn up on the gay stuff...I'm 'converting' heh. I guess for a while I just thought there were a lot fewer surfers interested in gay porn so I treated them a bit second class giving them only one lil' link to browse on my site, now I see that they enjoy pics as much as any surfer (and buy!) I wanna please 'em some more.

I will try these str8 TGP's again soon like thehun, but I remember like 3 years ago that their traffic was really flaky. And at the time it was not really worth my time, but some traffic source have dried up since then so I will try again. God I miss Linkmeallover.ca so much, Yes I know in a way they are still around, but in a BIG way they are gone forever. :crybaby:

a). I believe them to be hornier! Sorry, but I believe most men can't stop thinking with their dink so they look at other women, even when they are with their partner, wife, lover whatever, and this (online "activity") is just an extension of that.

b). There are a lot more horny single hetero males out there that feel they can't find a partner, so they enter the cyber world. Plus, I think many of these types find it easier to have relations with a female, even if it is only cyber-sex.

c). It's become VERY trendy to have online relations, whether or not already in one (relationship). Many of the various media types have showcased the world of cyber sex, dating & the many sites that promote extra-marital affairs (find a better lover, online, while still stringing along the one your with.. kinda crap).

d). I still believe more straight men look at porn!

e). I believe heteros to be bigger opportunists --- always wanting and waiting for someone &/or something better. Like boobies and butts!

f). I believe heteros like to play more head games (not the fun kind), so they wonder off to cyber-land when they can’t take it any longer.

g). And let’s’ not forget about the common disease known as mid-life crisis. Not sure on this, but I believe it is something reserved for the straight guy that got married too soon. Produced rabbits, too soon. So, he now needs something shiny and new to make him feel like a MAN once again, 'cause his wife and lil'ens are getting on his nerves and making him feel like he pissed away his life...
