    Its a football match

    Kickoff is usually at 3pm on a Saturday just in time for Match of The Day :thumbsup:

    The term 'soccer' is rarely used anywhere else, but in the US & Canada, or by N.American broadcaster/announcers.

    Football is the original term, and the most common to all countries.
    The beautiful game called football has been around a lot longer than American game called football (which should have been called handball or similar as they really do not spend enough time touching the ball with their foot).

    and the competitions are referred to as a match, or matches and derbies/derby.

    In Germany soccer is calles "Fußball" (Fus-bahl) and American Football is called "Football" or "American Football"
