What Is It About October, November, And December?

I really hate it when companies are late paying their invoices towards the end of the year, not because they are late paying but, because, when they are late paying, it makes ME late paying everything too :eek:

I have a designer, a host and a programmer currently waiting on payments from me right now because 4 companies are late getting their invoices paid, its so fucking annoying because it makes ME look bad to the people i do business with on a regular basis

I think im going to become a lot stricter in future when it comes to invoice payments to avoid the additional hassles of having to explain to people why they havent been paid yet and when they can expect payment to be made for what i owe them!

I really wouldnt mind but the companies im waiting on payments from should know better.

Does anyone else run in to this problem?

i believe you have just answered the question in your post , because other people are late in paying their bills this causes a "rippling-effect" for others.
i kind of expect this (mainstream) at this time due to "tradeshows" , "vacations" , and the excuse of the holidays to move money around to pay for other things.

Its not even those months Lee. I used to work for a company that was always 3-4 months behind on paying content bills. However, they were rarely late on paying advertising bills probably because most advertisers want prepayment. The reason I was told they did this was for cash flow, they would not pay till they received termination correspondence.

When we started PSI, we knew we didn't want to be that type of company. I just don't know how reps and owners can possibly look the people in the face at trade shows knowing they're 4 months behind on payments. How can you possibly form solid relationships and do what you're supposed to do at shows when you're constantly trying to avoid certain people because you're a delinquent customer.

I could not agree more. Several companies owe me on outstanding invoices, and now I might be late on some of my bills. Ugh. I hope I run into them at Phoenix Forum...but I am sure they will be trying to avoid me as usual.

new accounts must pay in advance , established accounts with "reference check" have net 30 ( 20% off order if paid within 15 buisness days) , failure to comply results in loss of account.
