    Clicks Definition Question

    Hi all:

    This is Jeff.

We just setup NATS and we are looking at our RAW versus Unique statistics.

If someone has a moment could you explain what the difference is between the two terms.

I assume this has to do with clicks on the affilate link.

    Many thanks.

    Jeff

Raw - total clicks by everyone, regardless of whether they have already clicked on a link.

Unique - Total clicks from a unique ip address.

For example, lets say you click a link 5 times, that is 5 RAW hits but only 1 unique hit.

Lets say someone else clicks that same link only 1 time, you now have 6 RAW hits and 2 unique hits.

    Hope that helps

    Regards,

    Lee

or to put it another way, when one guy at one computer clicks a link 10 times, he is still only one unique hit but he is 10 raw hits.
