You know, dating has never really been something ive been able to sell to my surfers, i dont know whether that is because of the sites i have been promoting (DatingGold) or whether it is because of how im marketing them.

Either way, i just gave up on that as a revenue stream.

We're re-working our Gay/Lesbian dating.. I keep pushing on them so it should be out really soon. We have right now but its mixed into the Alternative section of our site.

Once the redesign & reworks we're doing on it, we'll convert and convert great Im sure!

Do any of you know a single gay man that would use a dating site? I don't. As gay men, most of us do not have the difficulty that straight men have in finding dates.

You know, thinking about this some more, id figure that there must be some kind of 'cruising' site that also pays for surfers to fill out profiles, or at least upsells those members who do fill out profiles to an actual paid membership of some description.

Does such a site exist and, if so, does it have an affiliate program attached to it?

Not so much a dating site but a cruising database that pays for profiles or upsells to a more 'porn' related area on their site?

Yes, that's basically how most cruising sites work -- most of them though need to work on the implimentation of upsells to their paid membership from what I've seen. Conversions would be better at those sites. And affiliates would be more happy.

As for upsells to a more porn related area; same thing some do and really that's why their cruising db exists; as a hook to their porn site.

One thing I've noticed though about all of this - is that there's a number of cruising sites that seem popular but there's no affiliate program attached.

You know (just talking straight porn here), that sexsearch has one of the largest porn areas there is - gold members area.

I think the dating hook could work really well in getting the surfers in, and the retention would be in the porn area.
