How do you track sales?

I keep seeing people say about tgps and link lists that send decent traffic and sales, not just here but all over the boards. Is there something im missing here?

Id love to know where my sponsor sales actually start, ie what link list sends the surfer to the feeder that sends the surfer to the sponsor that makes the sale (still with me?).

Is that too detailed? ive allways liked hunk hunters list as they send alot of traffic but is it the "use my bw and move on" traffic or "buy buy buy" traffic and it seems to me that ill never know, unless theres some trick people use to track sales? Or is porn still the numbers game where loads of traffic = sales?

well, this isn't perfect but it is easy.

don't submit to all the link lists at once. submit to one a week - or wait to submit to the second till a few days after the first one lists your site. same with tgps.

next time you submit, do the same thing but don't do it in the same order. so say that your free site lists with these tgps: gaydemon, hunkhunter and greenguy.

free site 1 post to gaydemon. wait till he starts sending traffic. after a few days submit to hunkhunter. after you are listed, wait a couple days and submit to greenguy.

free site 2 - post to greenguy. wait till your site is listed and after 3 days, post to gaydemon and then after you are listed there post to hunkhunter.

free site 3 - post to hunkhunter. wait till your site is listed a few days etc.

notice that each of those 3 link lists has had a period of time where they are the ONLY site sending traffic to your sites. while this isn't a perfect way by any means, it will definitely help.

i have zillions of similar ways of going about this, all equally convoluted

say you think sales on your galleries are coming from edengay. so each time you post a gallery to edengay, post it with 2 different tgps. then try the first method for free sites. again, not perfect but you will figure out which tgps are sending the sales after a couple months and that is valuable info.
