    and yet another 2257 inspection

    former fbi agents???

"Agents from the FBI inspected talent records at gonzo production house, Darkside Entertainment recently.

Production Manager Craig Dayze said today that five former and current agents of the FBI inspected the company’s records for several performers last month.

“They had 10 movies where they took five video pulls of each person that appears in the movie and they compared them to the identification and IDs we had on file,” Dayze said.

“They were very nice about it. They were real happy with our files and after about three hours they left.”

Under federal law, adult producers are required to keep extensive records of the identities of each performer in their videos or films in order to assure they are of legal age.

The company is known for its all-black titles, such as Freaks of the Industry, Booty Call and Head Clinic."

    Interesting stuff.

So far, i havent heard about ANY company that deals specifically just with 'online' porn, they all seems to be movie producers that have been inspected so far.

    Regards,

Yes and another 2257 inspection that happened last month that we're finding out about this month:

FBI Conducts 2257 Inspection of Evasive Angles

LOS ANGELES — In its ongoing open-ended inspection of 2257 documentation in the adult industry, the FBI conducted an inspection at the Canoga Park, Calif. offices of Evasive Angles on Sept. 27, XBIZ has learned.
FBI spokesperson Laura I. Miller confirmed the records inspection.

Evasive Angles, owned by longtime male performer T.T. Boy, is the seventh confirmed adult production studio to have its records searched. The FBI also confirmed a 2257 records inspection of Darkside Entertainment Sept. 12.

The other companies that have been subject to 2257 records inspections are Legend, Sunshine Films, Robert Hill Releasing, Sebastian Sloane Productions and Diabolic. The FBI’s inspection of Bethlehem, Pa.-based Sebastian Sloane Productions was prompted by an unrelated search warrant.

Evasive Angles did not immediately return a call seeking comment SOURCE

Doesn't 2257 give the Attorney General the right to appoint whomever he wants to conduct inspections? Perhpas they are training FORMER agents so as to ramp up inspections. Gee, wouldn't it be just nifty if they got paid for every violation they find?????? Wouldn't put it past them

keep in mind that so far we haven't actually heard they have found a violation.

the way the DOJ and others said it, we didn't have enough law enforcement to do the inspections. maybe they are training ex fbi agents so they'll have enough folks to do the inspections.

My concern is that in each of the inspections conducted thus far, the agents have copied and taken with them some of the records. Now, at their leisure, they can do a much more thorough inspection, even giving the records to some attorney at the DoJ to go through them with a fine tooth comb.

I really would not surprise me for them to announce violations for some of these companies over some minor, nit-picking thing like a url where a model appeared 18 days ago, not being listed.

Bill you bring up a good point. The internet changes so frequently. Sites change, add and sometimes subtract, many times weekly or at least monthly. Even if things were static, it's a colossal undertaking, kinda like inspecting every brick in the Great Wall.

They are going to have to find some real violations to make these inspections make sense and I highly doubt that they will. Paperwork violations are not legitimate charges and they know that.

I hope with the upcoming elections that the political landscape will change a little and at least there will be a call to legitimize these inspections.

    Huskyhunks,

Well said. I've no doubt that ultimately they are going to find something somewhere and then try to make an issue of it. The regs require that the DoJ must report back to Congress with a listing of how many inspections were conducted and how many violations were found and what actions were taken. The will continue to dig until they find something.

This isn't a political thread, but....you do point out how important it is that we all do everything possible that we can to help to change the political landscape, the least of which is to make sure we get out and vote!

Any apathy on our point will just help to continue the erosion of our freedoms that we seen over the past 6 years.
