How to sell black gay porn

I want to start a couple of blogs promoting black gay porn. I already have a few sites to promote (mainly by pimproll, Flava and Bigcash society). Been browsing around to see what other sites look like and it leaves me wondering.

Some sites use "black" language on the site with nigga, azz, bitch and "da" all over the place. Is this really necessary? who is buying black gay porn and are they really looking for the thug theme necessarily? should a good sales pitch come from the point of view of someone who is "from the hood", or can it just be someone who admires the way black hunks look?

Any thoughts and ideas will be most welcome!

    Yah, ouch!

I'd call it "urban" speech, not "black" language - th@'s the same as saying "black" food, clothes, cars, music etc.
Not hip, @ all. May as well scream out negro! (MHO)

    Is it wise to promote:
    - a sado site, without the lingo? (Is it flog, or beat the living shit out of ?)
    - a skater site without knowing or using street lang? (shred, or weee ?)
    - a twink site without a "boi"?
    - a lesbian site without "mashers"?
    Nope! Nope! Nope ... !

Language is a huge part of the game (fantasy), and not playing it (the game) properly is simply not fun (BORING) and your viewers will know.

May as well rudely shake awake a person whom is having a wet dream.

A person does not want to look at a roughneck lookin' mutha th@ speaks proper english (the model may as well have Poindexter's glasses on). They are there because they like the package and want it all, or part of.

nigaz = Paco is chillin' and buttin' waffs wif 'em gangstaz, while pounding back the 40's.
ebony = Paco is borrowing some books from the gentleman.

    NOT quite the same effect.

I am sure th@ there are plenty of language-nazis that will argue differently, but I strongly believe it to be an extremely bad move (to not use proper terminology, &/or destroy the theme).
    Unless you're selling English lessons!

After all, what are they there for?

I for one hate going to a telemark site that has no idea what a freeheel 'nripper is. I leave, quickly, as they have nothing to offer me, aside from insults.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

    Paco,

I agree with you on this however, many of the dolts we have in the industry use wording such as 'niggaz', 'biatch', etc because they simply dont have a clue about the niche.

I have tested several variations of ethnic niches using a wide reach of keywords and can say catagorically, that when using wordings like 'gay black men' those sites outsold sites using wording like 'punk ass niggaz'.

I really do beleive there is a line that is crossed far to often when it comes to promoting niches we know nothing about simply because it sounds cool when our sites use terminology that if we used in the streets, we'd be shot for using.

If you want to go 'ghetto' with the text being used on a gay black site, then go the 'thug' route, not the racist route.

    Regards,

    Lee

Check out http://www.ebonyd.com is you haven't already. It's a nice site and sells well. No affiliation, just run by a buddy of mine.

I tend to agree on the language, don't think it's necessary. But I guess if your site is called Punk Ass Niggas then the language needs to reflect that.

Maybe it helps the less open-minded but gay-curious black man do a mind-fuck on himself that he's not really looking at gay porn. Don't know.

Our black sites tend to be a little less "ghetto slang" then some others out there...Do you agree?

thank you, Lee - that is what I was saying (but you used less words).

Damn, I need to learn how to "get to the point". What am I saying: who will entertain y'all if I stop?

Derrick, not to be a prick, but you should do something about that text @ the top:
Here you'll see muscle-hungry guys fucking live 7 days a week! Chat with other
members, browse their profiles, view the hottest Fuck Pix, and watch thousands
of video streams of pumped and shredded stud-2-stud action! Plus much, much more!

White text on a creamy background is difficult to read.

You are very right, thank you. It just so happens I have this site on list for a re-design. Great minds think alike.:shades:

    Thanks for the replies.

I guess what I"m wondering is this, is the thug fantasy the only gay black fantasy? My sites are blogs with neutral names - www.gay-black.org, and so far I basically added posts showing black hunks.

English isn't my first language, and I would have a huge learning curve trying to adopt "urban" talk as you call it. I just wonder if maybe I should take the blogs to other directions, and also how well does my target audience knows and expects a certain kind of lingo.

    Hi Tigermom!

I think Paco is right... it's part of the theme and I think it helps to get the surfer into the right mood. I wouldn't use the urban language at Latin boys, just at the real "thug"-types.

Great link! Thanks! As with all computer translators, I doubt that it does a very good job, but maybe that doesn't matter to the people who are looking for the thug fantasy? maybe their ebonics isn't very good either.
