OMG, I love that movie!!! I can't believe someone put the entire movie on youtube! They had cut a bunch of stuff out, especially towards the end when the freaks get their revenge on the money grubbing trapese artist and apparently the cut footage was so disturbing that people were passing out in the theaters. I would love to have seen it but it's been destroyed.

The DVD has a lot of extras
Be Who You Are!
Yes, it does. There are some nice featurettes and commentary and such, but they say that the DVD includes the original ending on the packaging but it's a bit misleading. The movie had gone through several edits over the years, including a new, happier final scene that was added a few years later, and the DVD recreates the movie with and without this final scene, however the scenes that showed how the infamous "Chicken Lady" had come to be that way are the ones that diehard fans of the movie had been wishing to see. And that footage had been reported to have been destroyed. When I saw the DVD package I got very excited at the hopes this lost fottage had somehow been found, but sadly, it was only the final "happy" scene that was restored, and that had already been in some versions of the VHS releases, so it was nothing new.
It's one of those lost goodies that have been talked about for years but never actually seen, like The Jitterbug song that had been cut from The Wizard of Oz and the Lon Chaney horror movie London After Midnight, a version of Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde that had been lost to the ages when a fire in the MGM vault had destroyed the only known copy.
